Not a fan of my experiment with Saphir cognac polish on my walnut Strands.  After two coats of cognac, the shoe is taking on a reddish tinge and the darkening of the shoes has made the creases much more evident.  Will go back to using AE's walnut polish.  Here's a picture, even though it does not really show what I am talking about.

Brooks Brothers - $149 - except Presidio, which will be $109
Ralph Lauren $129
Park Ave black - $199 (black only)
Strand walnut $199 (walnut only)
Independence Collection ($299)
Dalton walnut $199 (price will be on all colors except cordovan)
Mayfair patent leather $99
Old discontinued Crosstown 2.0 (Granville, Provo, Ann Arbor) $59
Spiked and SLV golf 2nd Q - $149
Jack golf $129 (all 2nd’s)

I just placed an order. Confirmed that the walnut Dalton's are $199 and ordered them, along with a pair of walnut Strands (both 10D). However, I forgot to confirm the price on the Strands while I was on the phone. Just got my receipt via e-mail -- they rang up as $129. Called up (somewhat disbelieving) and confirmed that it's the correct price. Very, very pleased.

It's been referenced a couple dozen times in this thread over the last few years. You're right, it does come in very handy. It's fun to see for instance that the 1950s Park Avenue was a blucher, or to peruse all the fashionable abominations they came up with in the late '70s.

here is what my order looks like. I wish there was a way to visualize all the options.

*CAPPUCCINO CORDOVAN
*TONE ON TONE STITCHING
*STANDARD LEATHER INSOLE
*SINGLE RENDENBACH OUTSOLE WITH COMBINATION HEEL
*CHILI FLAT WELT
*LIGHT BROWN EDGE DRESSING

Sounds like a nice makeup. Which model did you order?

I ordered the strand.

I ordered my Walnut Strands for $199 yesterday.  Which store did you order through?  Kinda bummed if I didn't get for $129.

Yeah, I was quoted $199 on walnut Strands as well.

Regarding the special seconds sale, who are you emailing to get a list of specially-discounted shoes available in your size?  The Shoebank?  Each store individually?  Sorry, I'm new to this...

Wilsonx and VanVeen - Are the $199 Daltons boots or shoes? $199 for Daltons, shoes or boots, seems like a steal. $129 seems like the portal to another dimension...a sweet dimension. Please share the link or contact!!!!!! I'm missing it somehow.

In other news, got these a few days ago; still fresh, no Bick Reno or creme yet - but they're going back, if...you share that info! :-D

Bucksfan...Is this sale on the AE website? If no, how do I get in on this...web, store...strike a deal with the devil?

I just called the Jville Outlet and grabbed a pair of the Walnut Strands for $129. UNREAL DEAL
