I think that is good advice myself! I'm thinking the Manchester loafer in burgundy shell next while I'm waiting on my cappuccino Bayfields. Tassel loafer plus a longwing, don't know how I could go wrong. Except I have no idea how the 7 last will end up fitting me.

When I got home this weekend my cappuccino McAllisters were waiting for me

They have some bowing so not sure if I am going to return them or not I will measure the throat opening on some other shoes to compare later. I keep brushing them anyhow, they are a beautiful color and different than the cappuccino Dundee's.

I have noticed that I now have enough AE shoes that the smell of leather and cedar fills my room, its rather nice!

I received the sale Daltons today and had to call for an exchange. I'm not that picky, but for first quality I couldn't deal with an unnatural rectangle imprint in the middle of the toe area. It didn't look like it would come out. So comfortable and the walnut looks great though.

One could argue that shorts are a little too casual.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Yes, definitely exchange them, these marks are not worth the effort to cover up.

The Nordstrom sale price for the shoe trees is approx. $14, and if you are ordering anything else from the store (such as their Allen Edmond Shoes on sale), then the trees will ship free in the same box as the shoes to Canada for a flat rate of $35 for as much as you want to order in one go.

Excellent fine!  Thanks.

I was able to get TWO deluxe trees for approximately $11 each with shipping.

On a 105 degree summer CA day I'll wear shorts every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Did these come from the Nordstrom sale at $259.90?

I am looking to add a third pair of Allen Edmonds to my rotation.

Currently I own a pair of black Park Ave's and AE Brooks Brothers Strands in brown.

I am looking at AE Clifton's from Nordstrom http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/allen-edmonds-clifton-oxford/3559134?origin=fashionresultspreview They are offered in black, burgundy burnish and walnut.

I am unsure of what color to get. These will probably be my most utilized pair of shoes. I dress in BB wool trousers most of the time. Most of my trousers are dark colors. I have navy, brown, olive, charcoal, gray, and tan. It seems to me "burgundy burnish"  may be the most versatile color for my wardrobe.

I am working on adding sport coats and an additional suit to my wardrobe. I currently have a navy BB Fitz suit, navy 2 button blazer and a brownish Harris Tweed. So that is what would also be paired with my shoes.

I appreciate any and all opinions.

I would go with burgundy. My favorite color, but you already have black and brown. After burgundy, walnut.

Yes. The same boot also had an area where the leather didn't appear fully attached to the sole. It's difficult to see, and would probably never be an issue, but just another reason to feel comfortable exchanging.

I just ordered the sale price trees from Jos Bank . . . and they are split toe cedar for 8.50 plus shipping.

No problem.  They will pay for return shipping and exchange - or you can order another pair.  But I would first speak to the Nordstrom Manager!  He will want to know first hand of the problem so he can escalate the replacement.

Perhaps . . . but thanks to the earlier post - I noticed they are offering the 60% OFF STOREWIDE, plus ANOTHER 30% OFF on their Clearance section.  For a $100 item - that amounts to only $28, PLUS FREE SHIPPING when orders are $75.
