Hi everyone,

I picked up a pair of Allen Edmond shoes at my local thrift store and I'm wondering if you can tell me what style they are, as I am quite curious!

As you can see, they're definitely used, but I think they're still in good shape. They even still had trees inside them!

Any assistance you can provide would be most welcome. Thank you for your help!

Are those the Mcallister? If so, very nice looking shoes.

Is there any difference to the Brooks Brother AE's and the regular AE's.
Was looking to get couple of the BB AE's with teh 2 for $300 sale.
Thinking of getting the Strand's, Numok.....Or the 5th Avenue.
I currently have the following AE's:
Park Ave (Burgundy)
Byron (Chilli)
Bel Air (Chilli)
Burton (Brown)
Delray (Black)
Hale (Black)
Jackson (Black)
For the Strand, looking at either the Brown or Walnut....which would compliment my current collection?
I think I'll get the Strand's for sure.....deciding on whether to get the Numok vs. the 5th Avenue.
thanks

Scroll back to the posts from a day or two ago to see more details about the differences between the BB shoes and the regular AE shoes. To summarize though, the only differences are that all the BB shoes have the rubber tap sole, which is the same as AE's new v-tread tap sole, the BB's have a dovetailed heel, and they have a Poron insole instead of the traditional natural leather insole. Other than that they are the same.

Anyone else have any info about the Thanksgiving sale? Perhaps someone can contact the Shoe Bank and ask them about the Thanksgiving seconds sale :foo:.

Just to follow up from my last post. I got the brown calf MacNeils from the shoebank and they arent the rough version. They are straight up brown calf. For $129 I'm very pleased.

Kenilworth - Brown and Bourbon (the shade of brown & bourbon on the right are the most accurate)

Kenilworth - Burgundy, Bourbon, Brown

I thinking about keeping the Brown pair as I think they're the most versatile.

My current collection consists of:
  • Walnut McAllister
  • Merlot McAllister
  • Walnut Strand

Is that only from the shoebank and seconds?

Also, anyone know what last is the fairfax in?

Someone was asking a bit ago about a comparison pic between the old burgundy shell and the new burgundy shell color.
New shell Fifth Streets on the left and old (~8 months) shell Cambridge on the right.
I do like the darkness of the new burgundy shell and look forward to it getting depth over time. But, I do like the redness of the old burgundy and think they make a great contrast when paired with a grey pinstripe suit.
Tough decision some days on which one to go with, but glad the option is there.

-They look like the lines on the McAllister to me, maybe the Merlot?
