Definitely call them. A few months ago I noticed a dime-sized (or smaller) hole in the sole of my Fifth Avenues, which were only about 8-9 months old at the time. I explained to AE customer service that I also have three other AEs so I rotate every day and the Fifth Avenues did not get more usage than the others, yet this was the only shoe to come remotely close to having a worn sole. They had me send the shoes back to them, they assessed the situation, and within a few days they called me to tell me they were resoling for free. A few days thereafter I received an email with before and after pictures and the shoes were on their way back to me. As an added plus they put a little envelope inside the shoe box and inside the envelope was a $35 gift card towards my next AE purchase. The customer service at AE is amazing and because of that I'm absolutely looking forward to using my $35 gift card soon.
