Here's a link that mentioned the $219 price:

Although the Strand was 219 last year, the regular price for the Stand was ten dollars less.  With the new price up to 345, the expected discount this year will be in the same ballpark of 229.00

It is because of these shoes and the customer service I received when acquiring them that I will stay a loyal customer of AE.

I have calf patriots in 10D and they fit like a slipper however I too have noticed that they fit tight across the instep especially during the day when my feet swell and have not gotten any better after a few wears. I ordered a 9.5E width is good length is just a tad short . A 10E is large all around :/

So I'm looking to invest in a few premium quality dress belts. Premium to me means the belt can last 10 years and without tearing, cracking, or discoloring. My research online has told me that full grain leather is ideal for durability. My question to those of you who would know are AE belts full grain? I know they are made of calfskin but is it full grain calfskin? Will their belts truly last?

I have them in cordovan, so not exactly the same, but I noticed tightness at first as well.  I hesitate to say that they stretch, but I think the fact that they are unstructured allows them to form around your foot, making them more comfortable over time.

Yes - or you can get the AE polish in a tin, in burgundy color.  Seems very similar to Kiwi, which I also use.

Same here! Let's tell 'me to bring it back.

From earlier talk of strands here's a pic of mine in the wild.
