It was me. Unfortunately I placed the order 6 weeks or so ago and they are still in the beginning stages. I will certainly post pics as soon as they arrive

I've been lusting over a pair or two of fifth street boots for 2 years now...been patiently waiting for my size to pop up on eBay, but no luck yet...

I may just have to purchase new.

Just received Brooks Brothers Westchester in burgundy. AE doesn't offer burgundy shoe polish, instead they offer merlot. Is their merlot close enough to the burgundy?

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Does anyone know if Allen Edmonds can recraft a shoe on a different width or last? For example, if I have an E width shoe, can I ask them to recraft it on a D width last?

I recently purchased burgundy patriots and was directed to use merlot as well. I guess it wouldn't hurt to stick with their directions.

Brand new Burgundy calf Patriots. First time wearing them, a bit tight. Anyone know if they may stretch along the instep?

It is because of these shoes and the customer service I received when acquiring them that I will stay a loyal customer of AE.

No, I don't think they will do this.

You may wish to consider ordering a color guide to place over your shoes for a more accurate match.

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 90

Even though AE offers colors, when considering upgrading to another brand of cream and wax - the color guide is a must-have.

My Long Branch Boots came in that size box . . . and the 20lb turkey was in their too.  Did you not get your free turkey? [ wink ]

Here's a link that mentioned the $219 price:

Although the Strand was 219 last year, the regular price for the Stand was ten dollars less.  With the new price up to 345, the expected discount this year will be in the same ballpark of 229.00

A Nordstrom Manager told me any color, any size.

But I'd gladly pay the $30 for the AE wall plaque and swords: http://issuu.com/allenedmonds/docs/spring-1978-catalog/34

I have calf patriots in 10D and they fit like a slipper however I too have noticed that they fit tight across the instep especially during the day when my feet swell and have not gotten any better after a few wears. I ordered a 9.5E width is good length is just a tad short . A 10E is large all around :/
