How old are those Macneils?

What are the oldest pairs of AE floating around this forum? Post pics of some glorious patinas!

SFTG is an oracle on anything shoes/boots, but liking the Daltons is subjective (as he said). Daltons (and the 1-last) are one of my favorites.

The first picture is closer to the color IRL.

Nice shade of walnut shell. nod[1].gif

And good call on the bar lacing.

Those are nice. Nice ensemble too.

...agreed. I'm not a big fan of longwings, but those look very nice. Is that burgundy or brown?

Spectacular.

PK:  The patina on those is amazing!  Great job!

Bootspell:  Walnut shell Daltons are impractical for me when considering the cost, but your pictures make me want to reassess that decision.

Very nice, David.  I like those.  Are you going to keep the red laces?

Good question.  The red laces are growing on me, although AE sometimes includes both red and brown laces in the box.

I was first attracted to the Long Branch with red lacer at Nordstroms web site, and the AE site did not exhibit the choice.

He does have a couple of great looking vintage pairs.  Whenever I look back at the early days of this thread I am reminded of how slow of a start it got off to.  It took nearly two years for this thread to reach it's 400th post.  That many posts happen within a couple of weeks now.

New to me Burgundy Shell Leeds. I went TTS size in them and they are snugger than my 5, 7, and 8 last shoes, but I wouldn't size up on them.

After some alcohol to the lining, a damp cloth, Renovateur, Saphir Cordovan Cream, and some AE brown edge dressing Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

EDIT: Not sure what is going on with pics in my post, but some are not showing. Most importantly the after. They are showing up when I choose which pics to upload, but not in my post. Will try to upload that last pic later.
