They remind me of a higher priced boot that BB had in a catalog a couple of years back. J

AE Greenwich wholecut in tan. Finally picked up a pair on eBay in my size icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Interesting lacing pattern.  I've never seen that.  Asymmetrical lacing to go with asymmetrical shoes?

Yes, a local pick up (and free professional shine) is available.  Just call him after you get his email.

Dwayne Wade needs our help. It seems he is stealing his fashion sense from the before mentioned Granny OptoDoc.

Before last night's game:

From earlier in the season:

An intervention must be scheduled soon.

And just because I laugh out loud every time I see this picture...

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 85

The Biebs could use our help as well.

Good grief.

Going back to the lack of full brogues,

Why can't Allen Edmonds do something like this?

The LaSalle is on the 8 last and there are countless posts comparing its fit to the 5 last.  A few seconds searching would reveal that the 8 last is a favorite of many, but it is narrower than the 5 last.

I was buffing my black Ashtons before wearing them for the first time today and I noticed that the leather of the left shoe on the left side of the split toe looks old and dry; like old, dry, wrinkled skin. If you look at the leather of both sides of the split toe there is a clear difference on close inspection. Should I be worried about the life of the shoe due to this or is it just a visual imperfection? I would post pictures, but its very subtle and I'm not sure it would come through in pictures. I am now treating it with condition/cleaner to see if I can make it any better.

Edit: Grabbed my macro lens and got some shots. Click the images for much higher resolution.

Oh, boy. I can't believe I never noticed that. How embarrassing.

AE does offer styles like that from time to time. They've had a few webgems in the past with the Gatsby webgems and custom Neumoks. The Broadstreet is also a two-tone, but only white and something else.

My main concern would be if the dry leather is any where the shoe regularly creases. If not, throw some conditioner on there and see if that helps.

Now take your wallet back out, open it, take out said credit card and purchase these!

Spiaggia, the more refined choice fing02%5B1%5D.gif

Just having fun with you, peppercorn. I do like the Spiaggia better, but you should purchase shoes that make you happy. That is of course, if your budget allows. If it doesn't, than I say, "Don't mess with these blue suede shoes."

I hear you! I do like that one better, BUT....

I already have 3 pairs of casual wingtips, so even harder to justify.

Picked up a just-for-fun, totally unneeded Neumok in the tent sale. I wanted something casual. Most comfortable AE I've bought.
