Teaching moment for Mediahound.  MH, the substance of your comment is the same as ckprax.  Do you see, however, how he delivered it in a constructive and non-sarcastic tone?

Seriously- take a note. It is very pleasant reading this thread, good information presented by well-informed gentlemen- then, well, there's you...

Daltons in Grey Calf which I wore to a Spring Barn Dance on Saturday, a decision I regret a little because those leather soles got pretty banged up!

What color heel dressing should I use for the Boca Ratons in Walnut?

Chilli or Brown?

Ordered a pair of black 13 Bentons from the Jeffersonville store. They had the width that I wanted available in a factory second and I was able to take advantage of the 20%. Thank you for all the help and information.

When in doubt, always order two sizes. And if not in doubt, give some consideration to two pairs in the same size. Every pair fits differently ..........

Looking at AE's photo - that is a close one:

Judging from the high-line across he top from mid-back heel toward the middle - my guess is that the AE Recrafting Department would say it is a NATURAL HEEL POLISH instead of a brown or otherwise.

For my 1999 Version Sanfords in Light Brown Calf - they definitely told me to only use the NATURAL color to bring out the original heel color they came with.

I also went to the AE website a few days later and clicked on their CHAT - in which another rep said to use the NATURAL.

I also contacted Hangerproject - and they told me to use a light brown color.  In the end, I went with the AE suggestion of Natural.
