I agree. Jumping to shell would likely cause a number of people to drop out though. Just a SWAG but ~$350 for calf and ~$600 for shell seems to be about the usual if they waive the custom fees.

Currently I do not plan on getting in on this one, unless we end up with 9 orders and need 10. Like New Shoes1 said awhile back I see the SOHO in black or dark brown as the most functional option by far IMO. But either one in cappuccino shell I would be out there like GOP Shoe Guy picking up those pop cans to pay for them smile.gif We could always ask if enough people are interested.

You heard the negative, now on the plus side these things are very comfortable. Easily the most comfortable pair of dress shoes I own.

I'd do a Bourbon Soho in 8.5D.

However leave it to AE... What took so long is not only to get the go ahead for a custom order, but the ability of AE to do so. They do not have every size on the 0 last left around in inventory. Like someone said awhile ago they have ~50,000 lasts altogether. So what we need to do is get together a request based on size and they will check the lasts to see what they have left and compare to our request. When they have that and know how many requests they can fill they will give us the details of the group buy.

If everyone that is interested would either post or PM their preference I can then send it in and see what we end up with. Think we still need to come up with 10 but not positive. No idea on cost, options, etc. but normally it has come in at list price with waiving of the custom fees. But that is speculation at this point.

So what is everyone interested in? SOHO or Evanston? What color? And any input on fit of the 0 last would be appreciated by all. Looks like most people are comfortable with the same size as the 5 last: http://www.styleforum.net/t/161752/allen-edmonds-soho-fit

And DJTravler with his Evanston's:

Soho in black.

These were intended to be worn in warmer weather, but I couldn't resist. So I figured out a winter weather combo for my new Red/White Neumoks, and am sporting them today at the office. They are a bit loud for a dreary cold winter day, but I like them nonetheless. They look pretty sweet with grey flannel slacks and a white oxford with a red sweater vest. :)

I believe Amok is on the 4-234 last, which should run fairly TTS, but maybe slightly fuller in the toe.

I own three shoes on the 4-234 last - the Hillcrest, Regent Street, and Amok.  Hillcrest and Regent Street in 10 D fit great.  I had to size down in the Amok to a 9.5 and step up in the width to an E.  For some reason, the Amok fits longer and tighter in the forefoot than the other two.

They are a bit flashy, I will admit it.

I would obviously be in for a Capuccino captoe, but I'm skeptical we could get it done. Would be worth the inquiry for me to see if they could do a Soho in a 12.5E or a 13D. Bourbon would be my ideal color next after the shell.

Thinking about getting the chili Weybridge:

and the Brogue Suede Quinton:

 with the 2/$250 sale.

They are both on the 8 last, which fits me perfectly in an 8.5D. I currently do not have a chili or a dark brown suede shoe in my collection.

Thoughts?

Not a fan of the Weybridge, but the Quinton looks good.  If you like the shoes, sounds like a good buy to me.  Two options that you do not currently have.
