Allen Edmonds Appreciation Thread - Page 919

Somewhere in this thread someone posted a pic of some boots.  They look like the Fifth Streets minus the medalion on the toe.  I know that they aren't the Bayfield because they have a leather sole.

Could someone please help me?

Thanx!!!
Charlie

So I just got the AE x Wolverine Krause boot in the mail. Is it just me, or is the boot REALLY hard to get on and off?

All, I'll ask and post tomorrow, those are all good questions.

I hope that's the case. It's putting me off from actually keeping them... I've never had this trouble with any other boot.

What's the price? Or did I miss it? And may I ask what's different about doing it this way, as opposed to a regular custom order?

Custom orders have a surcharge. I don't remember what it is. I believe, as of now, all shell cordovan shoes from Allen Edmonds are by custom order only. By doing the group purchase, you get the custom fee waived (I think it is in the $80 range).

Made to order is $125.

I think you missed it. I think it was $599.

EDIT: Nevermind. Not sure where I got that number.

Got my Delray's in today, and I can't decide if I'm being overly critical/picky, but these two things are bugging me.  Is this within the normal variances of leather, or is this a screw up on their part?

The spot I tried to get rid of with some Saphir Reno and some elbow grease....no luck.  It appears to be oil, or grease or some such.
