They look like they are on the 1 last because they resemble the Bayfield boot and the fit fairly similar to my Dalton. I'm gonna give the factory a call tomorrow morning and get some more insight into the last though because honestly I'm not sure.... I'll def get back to you...!

As a "starter pair" for a brown dress shoe what would you guys recommend? I like the look of wing tips but nothing too out of control. Would appreciate input. Gonna get fitted at a store around here and then patiently wait on eBay I think.

Thought I'd share my AE collection now that I'm used to my new Strands. A quick cleaning/conditioning and then polishing reduced that "over-burnished" look I was complaining about. I expect it will only improve!

 

Top left to right: 

Sanford (Burgundy), Lloyd (Burgundy), Strand (Walnut), Fifth Avenue (Walnut).

 

Bottom right to left: 

Park Avenue (Black), Strand (Black), McTavish (Black).

 

Missing: Krause boot in Rust (in the mail!).

Nice masernaut, is the Lloyd a discontinued model? Looks really nice, where did you get it from?

Yes, it's discontinued. I picked it up on eBay along with the black Strand. It fits very snugly. Better than the Sanford (both are on the 7 last).

Ahhh, starting to look like a proper boot in my rotation now:

The toe gouge is pretty significant, but I'll just have to get over it.

Fantastic work, I think the gouge actually adds some character.  While you couldn't wear these in a more professional sense, any other environment these are great.

Havent been following the forums that much but I just wanted to know if the 2 for $300 second sale has already passed? I remember it being in December last year but from reading through the threads it looks like it was before thanksgiving...

 

Any idea on whens the best time to scoop up a pair of walnut strands and a dark brown park ave? Thanks
