Allen Edmonds Appreciation Thread - Page 860

Just pulled the trigger on the Tan Krause.  $159 plus shipping to Canada.  Unbelievable deal.

I will let you know how they are when they show up.  But even if they are noticeable seconds, around $190 (shipping included) for a $500 boot, you can't go wrong.

I am so glad i found this thread.  I was going to pay full price pretty soon.

I have recently discovered that I love the granite grey park avenue - anyone have any leads on where to find these for less than 335? I am specifically thinking about private sellers and/or outlets where the seconds may be less than 199.

The person who helps me get one of these cheapest gets a $35 gift certificate to AE!!!

Thanks for the help!

Found a pair of walnut Drydens while doing some shoe organization... is this a discontinued model?

I'll be looking to unload these, curious if ebay is worth the hassle?

Try selling them here.

Darrrrn you, bucksfan!!  I was on a boot purchase moratorium till about Feb 2013 and I've broken it already!  I was doing so well, too, with no purchase for two whole months.  Then you announce that the AE x Wolverine Krause boot is going for $159 for seconds at the J'ville outlet.  I just called (Crystal wasn't there but Cindy was extremely nice and helpful) and bought a pair.  I had a hard time deciding between the russet and tan and the decision was made for me as they only had the russet in my size.  Cindy examined the boots for me and only found some darker (dye) areas on the tongue.  $159 for these boots that are selling on Wingtip for $459???  That's obscene!

But truly bucksfan, thanks to you for finding such a great deal.  Hope you kopped something good for yourself, too.

Meh, those wolverine boots are passable IMO. Too rugged for the business world, it's more of a Street Wear & Denim boot.

I agree, hence I don't need them for my collection but that being said that doesn't mean they can fit perfectly well into someone else' rotation.

Glad to be of assistance, I hope you enjoy them. I usually stop by whenever I'm going through which is about twice per month. This time I only picked up a few shoe care products, but I've been known to pick up a pair or two of shoes each visit. After I got home and started reading about the Wolverine boots, I started second-guessing myself. It sounds like I should've given them a closer look!

for those of you who picked up the Krause boot, were you guys going tts or sizing down 1/2 as some suggested?  I'm thinking to go with a pair in 10D?

my current sizing:

 - 10D Dalton

 - 9.5E PA & Strands

I'm 8D in Dalton, 7.5D Strand, and I went with 7.5D in the Krause.

Anywhere I can find a list of shoes by last? Had my buddy try on a bunch of shoes last night (including park Ave, kennilworth and la salle) and he's looking to narrow the playing field. The la Salle fit him the best with the park Ave a close second. The kennilworth was a complete fail - which was a shame because he liked the LOOK of them the best!

He is around a 13d... And it's tough finding half sizes to fudge with the fit.
