I'm interested in the Neumok in both red and blue, however, this would be a first dive into such colored shoes and I'm not sure what color belt to pair with them. Suggestions? Thinking of wearing them with brown chinos and possibly black trousers. I did some searches on the forum, but didn't locate any fits with the Neumok.

A belt to match Navy Neumoks? Any of these would be suitable, I think.

One of those belts are available in red too.

Just took some photos of my navy blue Neumoks with some different pants, different color combinations. Hope this helps somewhat as well. :)

Gray jeans:

Khaki colored, but I personally think they go better with a darker khaki color, or brown.

700

Dark Green, this may be a bit out there, but what the hell. It's my favorite combination.

And lastly, black jeans:

I might just do that.

Interested in picking up a shell boot in lighter shade and it appears as the wait for Alden Ravello could be a long one.

btw dddrees, when I got my walnut shell Daltons about 6 months ago, there was no webgem or anything that I was aware of.  I had ordered the walnut calf Daltons initially and I called AE customer service and inquired about the walnut shell ones and they just happened to have one in stock in my size.  I know I might have been lucky but there might be one out there in your size!

Great combos. When I had navy neumoks, I wore them with blue/indigo or grey jeans.

I love the dark green + navy neumok combo you have there - not out there at all - perfect, actually.

Black shell Fifth Streets made it home yesterday after a manufacturing defect in the first pair. The crappy iPhone pic does not do the boots justice as the shell is very mirror like after an initial brushing and buffing with a polishing mitt.

I am definitely becoming a believer in plain toe-ish styles showing the shell off better. And to that end, the lighter browns really bring out depth over time.

Oh how I pine for another cappuccino or walnut shell web gem...

Thank for the suggestion. I'll definitely consider it.

You would happen to have a picture handy would you?

Real beauties!  Enjoy.  Do you have any of the "old" black shell from AE, to compare?

Thanks, and yes definitely, I think the dark green+navy neumok is a great combination. I'll have to try that blue/indigo combo one of these days. I appreciate the feedback.

Hey everyone. I'm trying to plot out my next shoe purchase, but I'm honestly unsure what to do.

I have a pair of walnut strands which are gorgeous... so my next shoe will either be brown or black. I dress fairly casually, so it's not like I'm wearing suits everyday. I also don't have an office job, so the shoes will just be for walking around the city and stuff.

I'm torn between getting the park ave's in a shade of brown (the new bourbon looks great) or the 5th aves in brown.

Do you guys think the sleekness of the park aves (and lack of broguing) makes them too formal? I wish they 5th aves came in bourbon, that would be ideal for me.

Also, does anyone know about Meermin quality compared to AE?

http://meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=2034 is looking really nice as a park ave alternative.

I think I recently posted this pic of my walnut shell Daltons after treating them with Reno.  Not sure if it's just the camera/lighting but bucksfan's boots seem to be a lighter shade of AE's walnut shell than mine, closer to the color of the walnut calf Daltons, I think.

Are you sure you want a balmoral, especially a minimally brogued one such as the Park Avenue or Fifth Avenue, if you dress casually? I think its good to have a black balmoral, but if you're looking for a shoe to wear often with casual clothing, it may not be a great choice for that use.

His also appear to be outside in a good amount of sun, which makes a difference.
