eff it...I ordered some bayfields.

I didn't really want to spend the money right now (especially since I'm sure this price could be beat with some seconds in the future) but it is so easy to return LE stuff to sears....I figure if they are absolutely perfect fitting I can keep them.

I usually wear an 11D in Park Aves and Strands, and they fit pretty well. I tried Bayfields in 11D and they are way too narrow. Tried 11.5D and too big. No Bayfields available in 11E, so no Bayfields for me. Just got some Malverns delivered in 11D and they are too narrow as well, and no 11E available. I'm sort of disappointed as the Malverns look really nice, and I was hoping they would work.

I feel that a leather sole takes away from what the Bayfield is.

Disagree.  I have the Bayfield with a leather sole.  I love it and think it looks great.

No - definitely need to try them on first.  They run narrow.  I take an 8.5D in Strands, and probably would do best with an 8E Bayfield.  Alas, I have an 8.5D that I'm stuck with...

Just ordered the Bayfield in a size 10. I am usually a 10C so the narrowness of the last should be helpful.

Wow those bayfields look great.  I just ordered walnut daltons yesterday!

 - I was told by the rep at the shoe bank that they no longer offer free return shipping?  Have you guys been told this?

I just spoke to them today and they offered free return shipping on my order (although I cannot partake since I am in Canada).

Hmm that is interesting.  I asked if they had recently changed their policies and he said yes.

 - SA said I would have to pay for return shipping or return them to my local AE store.  I think if I really needed to return an pair of shoes that was ordered that they could still accommodate it.  Hope my Dalton 2nds fit & look great w/ major issues.

Maybe it's because I placed my order last week and they just changed the policy? I dunno!
