The Madison Park is a short wing and the McGregor is a long wing.  Is there any reason as to why Allen Edmonds has so many long wing variants but no short wings available other than from Nordstrom or the Player 2.0 seconds?  Do people have something against short wings?  I like the look.

I couldn't find it either. May need to call AE directly to ask. Based on prior responses, the shoe is basically The players shoe 2.0.

Gentlemen,

Before I put these on the market, I want to see if there are any interests:

Natural Brown Cordovan Dundee

7EE 511 Last
Independence insole and lining (no padding)
Double JR outsole
Tone on tone stitching
Flat chili welt
Medium brown transparent edge dressing

First Quality. I have tried these on around the house.

Natural Brown Cordovan First Avenue

6.5EEE 65 Last
Independence insole and lining (no padding)
Double JR outsole
Tone on tone stitching
Flat chili welt
Black edge dressing

All exposed antique brass eyelet, no speed hooks
No pull tab

First Quality discounted to me because these were suppose to have Medium Transparent Edge Dressing instead of Black. I have tried these around the house.

Brown Cordovan Bayfield

7EE 511 Last
Tone on tone stitching
Independence insole and lining
Flat chili welt
Medium transparent edge dressing
Double rendenbach outsole
All antique brass eyelets, no speed hooks

First Quality. I have tried these around the house.

With my ever growing collection, I thought it would be wise to start monitoring which shoes get worn and which sit in the back of my closet. Of course, as I actually started thinking about it, I began "reaching" for more options. I decided to see, and document via IG, just how long I could (reasonably) go without wearing the same pair twice. It has been a fun little experiment...

Wow. Color me very interested!

How'd you get a First Ave built on the 65 last (normally they're 201)?

At the time, the 201 last was new and only had D widths. I was lucky enough to get them made on the 5 last.

I'm looking to eliminate some redundancy.

A remarkable offering from a known and trusted poster.  Finding your size / sole-mate is the challenge. Good luck!

One of the great mysteries of AE and this thread.  And, they never seem to "roll out" the limited SWs they do with fanfare. I think I heard about the Madison Parks by someone here who spotted them at Nordstrom.  I think during a Reddit Q&A someone asked P. Grangard what's up with the lack of shortwings. He replied, "It's coming!" All we got was some sort of soft sole Rockport as part of the Road Warriors collection.  There are a lot of other makers that do SWs is all I can tell you.

Those looks great and the Jefferson is such a quality shoe.

Could you tell what if anything was wrong with them?
