Much-abused Long Brabches all cleaned up and ready for the constant rains of Ole Blighty.

I think the Leiden is a gorgeous shoe...but I'm not sure why they would discontinue the Boca Raton, only to release basically the same shoe in the woven Leiden (albeit on a different last)

I think the thing I liked about it was the Chili over Walnut. The New Orleans or Shreveport has a better look overall.

Hate to do it but here's my issue. Had a pair of PA's in a 12.5D. They were ok and broke in well in time (had to return them because the heel kept falling off) but it did take some wearing to feel comfy. They were a tad snug around my pinky toes. Went to the store and got fitted they promised I was a 12D and that they would stretch over time. Got some Mcallister's in a 12D, they are just ok. After acouple hours they become tight and I've had them for several months. Bought the Kenilworth in a 12D and they were right as heck and even too short (2nds) had to return them. Want to try the 12E but afraid that there will be too much leather across the width won't look right. Do I need a 13C? Or just roll with the 12E. I won't be repurchasing the Kenilworth and will def be getting a balmoral. I also have the University in a 13D which feels perfectly fine. Thx

I say eff it and enjoy them if the value is there. I walked mine across Spain (and across Madrid to get my Meermins) and Germany. They are my go to casual boot when I know I'm going to be on my feet for extended periods of time.

Post some pics and maybe we can make you feel better about them.

Thinking of getting them from the shoebank, but $150 seems steep for linen shoes so just thought I'd get some opinions if anyone owns them or has seen them in person.

You know, I've changed my mind on these. Might be the only case of the website pic looking better than the shoe. I found a pair on the 'bay, and quite frankly, they look like a burlap sack! Maybe it's just me... Disappointed.

Like the contrast from upper to sole with light stitching. May have to retape and apply super thin layer of acrylic to upper so as to avoid any bleed down to the sole (polishing will have to be with mostly neutral polish I'm thinking). I like these. Any thoughts on the color? It changes depending on lighting it seems.

These came out really well..like them!

Anyway, the brown dainite seconds came and man, the fit is roomier than any 65 shoe I've tried on before.

A bit of creasing is evident on the left shoe, but creasing is inevitable.

So I'm not the only that's noticed different fits amongst different models on the same last? Glad I'm not crazy!!

My Park Aves and McAllisters both fit pretty similarly. The McGregors I just got are noticeably roomier (especially in the toe). Not sure how I feel about it, I've just been walking on carpet with them for now in case I dork out and want to return them.

Yeah fair enough, they don't look great on that ebay listing. I still am curious if anyone has any in real life experience with these. I imagine someone around here has seen them in person or maybe even owns a pair.

For today, I'm going with the Hanover. I wonder if anyone will notice something unusual.

Excuse the poor lighting.

So good...

There are 3 boots AE should bring back IMHO. Bayfields, Promontory Point and Portland (in a different last).
