Guess what I saw at BCF about a week ago - black Shakers, 10.5E, 5 layers of red stickers, final price 34.99.  Had to laugh - left them on the shelf for others to walk buy / move aside to get to the converse :)

Ain't that something? What folks will bypass to get to crappy stuff. When they get the multiple red sticker markdown, that means a BUNCH of stuff is about to be excessed from the store for new (in this case Spring) inventory. Saw a pair of Olive burnished Steens in Size 14D @ the BCF Chelsea store for the same—$34.99. Where that stuff goes when it doesn't move...I have no clue.

Thanks for the comp on the Graysons! The weather's been crappy here, so I haven't worn them since Christmas, but they're a weird shoe. They're not flashy at all...but they draw notice. I wore 'em with a black wool velvet (I know...WOOL velvet???) Paul Smith blazer and a pair of heather grey slacks and a black merino turtleneck at a Christmas gathering and I got compliments galore on those shoes. Is it the suede, or the tasseling? Who knows? What I DO know is that it fits/feels great and people—well...okay, women seem to dig 'em. Go figure.

But maaaaaannnnn, I'd kill for watch idiot's makeup on those Lakeshores. Those are KILLER!

It better, my postcard said all shoes at the shoebank will be 20% off. (At least I think it did, I can't find it now. I think my wife tossed it)

I actually got a postcard this time, and it says 20% off Current styles. At the Shoebank website, there's a Status pull down menu. Your choices are All, Current, or Closeout. Selecting current here are the ones that will be 20% off.

I really like my Bellevues. I don't remember seeing anyone else share a picture of theirs.

I have a pair of PA's where the stitching comes within an eighth of an inch of the edge when viewed from the bottom (it gets closest near the toe). No problems after a year and doesn't appear to be wearing any different than any other pair I have.

Yes Andy Middles - that's the only problem I have with the Rogue. I mean a blucher and the cap toe isn't the problem for me, it's just the chunky holes 😬

If they put that rogue on the b34 last and gave me some nice tap lug sole I would get it in every color

I'm strongly considering the black Dainite dalton 2nds if they go lower with the sale. Would like a dressy black for rainy days. First does anyone have the Dainite version and has anyone gotten black dalton seconds? Was wondering what kind of defects to expect.

These look awesome as well!  I wish there were more suede options on loafers.

Finally got to see my new boots in natural lighting.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Crappy pic on da feets

On the inside of the right boot where the tongue meets the vamp, there was a flap of lining that folded forward when I put my foot in and put uncomfortable pressure on my foot, but I've glued that back and if feels better now. There's also a couple of dents outside below the heel stitiching, but they're not very noticeable. Other than that they look pretty good, no noticeable blemishes, clicking and stitching look nice and straight, the welts are the cleanest I've had so far.

For comparison, here's the first pair which I had ordered right after Thanksgiving, and returned right away. On the right boot, the right quarter had an odd bulge or bubble, with a light & dark mark running along it. It looked to me kind of like the lining was slightly smaller than the outer leather when they were sewn together. When I put the boot on the bubble shifted downwards and bulged out awkwardly.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I'm not as excited about them as I was when I ordered the first pair after Thanksgiving, but it's good to finally have something other than all ankle boots.

Thanks for sharing this. I was wondering how others like them. I've been thinking about getting a pair of the CXL.

Mine are CXL. It's a nice leather for a casual shoe.
