The Mcgregor (5 last) seems a lot more roomier in the same size as the Strands (5 last). The former is a blucher and the latter is a balmoral.

The size 8.5EE Strand fits me perfectly .  I've tried 8.5E in the McGregor and even when sizing a half width down, it was a lot roomier than the strand just as you mentioned.  I then tried an 8E McGregor and I found the length fine but the shoe was just a tad snug.  If the McGregor came in EE I believe that sizing down a half and maintaining the width of the 65 last (8EE) would be correct for my foot.  I hope this helps.

Do you think this sounds like a good complete rotation?

I haven't really broken into the loafer world yet and I am curious about your choice of Patriots over the Randolfs or Graysons.  Is it because they fit you better?

Yes, I couldn't get the Randolph to fit me; it was too narrow in the toes yet wide in the heels for me. The Patriots were just better fitting for me all around.

Hi fellas, looking forward to the sale tomorrow on shoebank. Good luck finding things you want!

I'm on the lookout for a casual shoe to go with dark gray chinos. Think a burgundy or Bourbon McGregor would work?

Edit:meant chili, not burgundy. Also a cognac McTavish in my size on the bank, but not sure if that works with dark gray.

Well thats good to know.  Wish I had an opening date, since some have shown interest in a SF meet-up.

Thank you sir. I used to have a 9 watch rotation but after some time I've decided to thin the herd am now down to a 2 watch rotation. My wife helped by claiming for herself 2 of the watches hahaha.

I love my Dalton boots and they're probably my favorite pair of boots because they can make any of my outfits go from good looking to amazing. I just want to know what you guys think of this creasing. Is it fine? The left paor seems alright but the right pair seems to be creasing in front of the wingtip. What do you guys think?

Is the shoebank sale that's starting tomorrow going to include clearance shoes as well?

Based on past sales, they don't really lower the price for clearance shoes. Like the shoes which are now going for 127, 157 etc. they stay at the same price even during sales.

I hope so. I really don't want to buy the McGregor, Lexington, and the MvTavish smile.gif

Aesthetic aside, is stitching running close to the edge a problem?
