I had worn the left boot with a broken leg through an airport, and they wiped some liquid on it as a precaution I guess, but there were 3 walnut exposed spots which led me to choose black polish.  (these were MTO with independence lining, no toe medallion and a rubber sole)

Nice work, I really like the end result.might have to try this with my walnut players shoe if I ever get around to wearing them

If that's the only "flaw" you can find, consider yourself very lucky. That will make no difference. Enjoy your shoes.

Brown Ashton's for me today (sorry, coffee is long gone).  These aren't seen much around here, but I really like them.  They work great with jeans and the rubber soles stand up well against the Colorado winter.

No, it will not.

What about vacation? I only wear that when I'm travelling to the caribbean. Boat shoes and sneakers are my go to for summer wear. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

First trip out with the new strands. Quick condition and polish before wearing. Really happy with the pick up!

I wear a 10.5 3E in both pairs. However, if Shakey McShakes came in 2E, that would probably work better. The 73 last is definitely a pinch shorter than 65 and a dash wider.

First shell for me - Burgundy Dundees. These are dark, even for burgundy. These are 2nds and have a few indentations, including the one below. How big a deal is this? Would you expect that to come out with a bone or a spoon? For the small price difference I may return them for firsts.

(Apologies for the crappy pics - these are not easy to photograph. Will post better pics if I keep them.)

Dario those are fantastic. Dundees?

I would keep them, pretty good for seconds but I'm not very picky.

This was exactly my thinking. I also like the blue suede strandmok for that purpose.

So you're saying you like the shoes to match the carpet?

Yes, Dundees. Just fixed my post so people know what they are. :) I assume you guys can all ID any AE from 100 yards away.

I was eyeing a pair of someone's MTO shell dundees on the bay a few weeks ago in cordovan #8 with raw edges but missed the boat on them..Probably the most beautiful boots I've ever seen.
Yours remind me of them. Great choice.
