Enjoy them!

I've gotten pretty good at burnishing myself, actually.  I had the polish scrape off the captoe of a pair of bourbon PAs, so I stripped the rest of the captoe and started over.  Pretty easy actually, just hit it with a coat or two of bourbon polish and then a couple thin coats of black wax.  Now you can't even tell the difference between the shoe I fixed and the one that is from the factory.

What are those?

^ That's what I thought.  They look awesome with jeans.  Much prefer that tan color to the other offering.

@Paniolo , You can't go wrong with a timeliness classic like the Mora 2.0 double monkstraps. Easily able to dress up or down with these beautiful shoes.

I just can't get into monks, can someone explain to me why I should try a pair?

For what it's worth, I wear a 10.5E in the 108 last, but need an 11E in the 333 and 222 lasts. My issue is also the high arch and crown of the foot.

Before the mora 2.0 were put on the 108, i got the neumora that were on the 333. I needed the extra size.

The brooks brothers add an extra sole (poron?) that takes up more room. In their version of the 333, I'm an 11EEE.

the 333 has a slight squareness to the toe that for some, makes it more dated. I don't think its a huge difference, but when I compare my webridges on the 108 with the Neumora on the 333, it is definitely noticeable.

Me three.

I was going to order some during the closeout sale, but they only had the russet in my size. Really bummed as I thought those were a perfect casual boot.

Because they are not anything else; not a formal bal, not a casual blucher. They meander back and forth between the two, depending on how you are dressed above the shoe. Jeans, slacks and suits can all get some play with them on your feet. I had a period of time when I asked that question, but I also had some slight fit issues until I got a padded insole. Stripped the quirky burnish away and started polishing with bourbon followed by medium brown on toe/heel. More even and much more manageable color transition. The buckles make a bit of a statement, so bear that in mind when choosing your outfit. They're sexy to me. Great for club, dinner, etc. I'll just toss them with (nicely fitted) jeans and a shirt or sweater and run around the city - looking quite dapper. Ready for anything. Toss on a blazer or odd jacket and you're still good to go. Crossover like Steph Curry lol

Interesting...I didn't know some considered the 333 last to look dated. I always thought it looked more contemporary and modern than any other last that AE offers, myself.

Thanks everyone! Yes they are the Freiburgs. Amazing price during the Xmas sale. They feel better on my feet than expected! While I did like the reddish color of the Russet brown, the lighter welt and welt stitching make these a great casual option.

Along those lines, my wife is always giving me a hard time about my shoes being "too fancy" for casual settings. She was the one who told me to pull the trigger on these. I'm glad I did!

Hoping you get a really nice pair.  Going by the pictures on the AE website, I "underestimated the power of the darkside", but once I had them in hand, I succumbed.
