I picked up $99 bourbon mcallisters at last year's same sale and I couldn't detect a thing wrong with them.

I ordered walnut grain PAs, walnut Sanfords, chocolate Larchmonts, and brown Hamptons. 3/4 only had one left, so I'd email them fast to see what's available.

Thanks for the follow-up. I guess for $99 AE's, you can't be picky about even a noticeable defect. It's a roll of the dice, but at that price....

Yeah it was too good of a price to pass up. All of mine are being shipped to the Jeffersonville store first though, and the saleswoman I talked to was nice enough to offer to look them over before they go out. AE customer service as usual, can't be beat!

How does the fit on the 511-G last (golf shoes, ie 1-Up) compare to the 5 last?

Considering a pair of close out 1-Ups. I wear 10.5B in 5 lasted AEs.

i've been purchasing my seconds from the Freeport, Maine store for a while now. they've always provided excellent services. you can email them at [email protected] and i've always gotten email back with the most updated list of inventory in my size within an hour (most the time within a few minutes). their inventory includes all seconds in the country, and as you would expect, the list changes from minute to minute.

Just did a little TLC on my Chili McAllisters, Tan Bradys, and Walnut Strands.

Wish I could figure out how to spit shine, maybe I just don't have the patience for it.

Any of you use AE's colored carnauba wax?

Larchmont or Macneil? Which one to get? Which is the more sleeker shoe? I'm guessing Larchmount because the toe isnt as round?

The MacNeil is a more traditional LWB shape, whereas the Larchmount is a sleeker design. It all comes down to your personal preferences.
