When is the Player 2 coming out frown.gif
I guess you and I wiped out the Shoebank stock of the Freiburg in that size! I hope they work out for us both.

In case anyone's interested, in addition to the Aberdeen for ~179, BB also has the Linen Carlyle for ~231, the black Duke for ~197, and the all brown suede Neumok for ~179, decent amount of sizes available too, plus the 25% off if you have the card.

I went with the light brown. The russet looked a little too burgundy for me. And I wasn't a big fan of the black sole on the russet. I am thinking I will wear mine with khakis, jeans, cords, etc. I think the light brown will be more versatile for me.

Didn't see this before.  So consensus is that the 201 is going to feel larger than the 511?  I tried the Dundee 2.0 and it was way too big - I was sliding all over the place with that one.  Son of a bitch - so the Freiburg probably won't work after all.  Don't know why, I was certain it was on the B34 - only now I saw it said 201.

Maybe this has been addressed, and I realize the success will be last-dependent, but what about putting in a thin insole to help take up whatever extra volume there is?  It's worked for me in several models of shoes that I have purchased in the past but were just a hair too long or wide.

LOL. Those soles. Even thought it does say olive, the shade of it looks different to me than previous photos of olive offerings. Looks nice if the color renditions accurate.

What card?

I like the idea of a casual balmoral (McTavish) but this seems to be taking it a bit far. If they really wanted to do something with a Harrier sole, they should have 'licensed' @Subutai's design from the early MTO days:

That was actually what I thought of when I saw the Shannon Drive. I'm not a fan of longwings, but on this makeup I like the added visual interest.

Me too! I will post pics when I get mine.

BTW, I called one of the local stores tonight, and they said they did not get any of the new Black Friday sale models in-store. Not sure I understand the wisdom of new colors and a new last (the 1757) and no way to see them or try them on besides ordering, but what do I know about retailing?

PSA: the Jeffersonville outlet has an interesting pair of shoes that doesn't show up through online inventory:

Green shell Strands.

Size is 11D, price is $399. Sounds like they were MTO that didn't make it past QC. The SA thought they were too dark - they are pretty subtle to my eyes, but very clearly green on close examination. Kind of a dark forest green, reminds me of a Mazda color from the 90s. If these were Navy shell, y'all would be looking at a picture of them on my feet, but I don't think I can showcase these the way they deserve; I figured one of you fine gentlemen may have interest.

The only flaw I saw was a bit of folding on the left instep that looks like it was caused from slightly too much leather:

Enjoy!

I got my first two pairs of AE's (Daltons in Black and Walnut) a few months ago, and absolutely fell in love. I pulled the trigger on the Sauk Drive boots with the sale -- winter is coming...

1) Black Strands (firsts)

2) Walnut McAllisters (seconds)

I wear each twice a week to work and am looking for a third shoe in brown to throw into the rotation. With the McGregor on sale right for for $247 I'm torn between that and Fifth Avenue seconds for $199. The McGregor would give me a blucher but then all of my shoes would be heavily ornate, and the Fifth Avenue would give me a nice clean plain shoe but leave me with three balmorals. I know in the end it's up to me but what would the professional AE enthusiasts of this forum do? Thanks!

Depending upon availability and price preference if any:

1) Oxblood / Chili / Brown Carlyle

2) Brown Lexington

3) Chili / Brown Mora 2.0

4)  Merlot Park Avenue

The whole Blucher vs Bal thingy...meh...I think your "ornate" thing is more on point.  Personally, I like bals - but I wear a suit every day, so w/e right?..but find me a blucher that I like and I'll buy it....your description of your work attire doesn't suggest whether you wear a jacket every day, if so I'm leaning more towards the bals - or my personal fave, my Burnished chili Mora's

It will be interesting to see which ones arrive first.
I've never been impressed with the turnaround time when getting a pair from the Customer Assistance Center. Compared to just about any other business I've ordered from, they are the slowest.

How do the BB versions fit vs the normal AE versions?  The suede Neumok seems nice.

Looks like the bottle green cordovan from the last trunk show
