Ok so i purchased a couple pairs of cordovan shoes during the shoe bank sale. One is a brown Norwich and the other is a black Randolph. I have questions on both.
The Norwich. Other than the fact that they seem somewhat old (likely from having been at the shoe bank for a while), the only thing I could find that would make them seconds is that on the right shoe there is a significant color contrast between the cordovan used in the vamp and the cordovan used on the side. Here are pics:
So I'm not sure if the color contrast should bother me. I know that with cordovan, some actually like a contrast, however since it's only on one shoe I have mixed feelings. At $375, I'm kind of leaning towards keeping, but I would definitely appreciate any thoughts and opinions from you guys before I make my final decision.
(I will post the randolphs a bit later).
Thanks in advance!!!
If given the choice, I would choose color variation. It is part of what makes them unique. Keep 'em.
