I noted lugged sole is not an option - but should clarify that I was talking about the shell cordovan "MTO" offer.

That brown grain version should be eligible for sole change at usual fee.

I don't understand why they couldn't use the Vibram lug sole, unless they were simply trying to limit variables.

The last shell trunk show process was a bit of a disaster based on the experience of members here, @watchidiot can probably attest. As a result, I bet they are probably trying to limit the variables as you said.

Other people's merlot shoes look different than mine; my pair is more brown, and others' seem to be more purple.  Has the color changed over time?

Does anybody have a pair of McTavishes in the khaki color that they could share?  There's a pair in the shoebank in my size, but no image.

These are Khaki McTavishes in a pebbled grain, and I assume this is what you are referring to. The pair in the bank must be getting old as they moved this model into clearance quite some time ago. If this is not the shoe, at least I tried.

Here's another pair of Khaki (grain) McTavishes which (if nothing else) shows that khaki (grain) McTavishes are popular in Los Angeles....

I posted this a few, times, but still no reply. Does anyone know the model name of this shoe (it's AE, of course)? Thank you!

Anybody know how Ferragamos fit compared to AE? I wear 10 EEE in strands/Park Aves, and I am seeing a lot of used 10 EE in Ferragamos.

Maybe a better question to ask is what other shoes fit very similar in size to AE 65?

Pep's pics and MANY of the shots folks show IRL use on this forum seriously trumps the heavily retouched—and often BADLY retouched product pics on the AE site.

Sounds harsh, but I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in that sentiment.

I wear a 10.5D in strand and they fit like a glove. The couple of pairs of ferragamos I have are in 10D and fit just fine. 10.5D was a bit loose for me in SFs
