A little gray and drizzly out so why not gray flannel and an EC in merlot.

Very comfortable fit.  I also have the Rogue in walnut, which is probably my favorite AE shoe. Not quite as tight across the top as my 65 last or 333 last shoes.  These are the only balmorals that I can get to completely close without discomfort.

Sorry to repost, but if anyone can recommend where I could source some 24" laces to replace the alabaster tan laces on my AE Gobi chukkas, that'd be great. I'm looking for a dark brown for my tan saddle, but all they sell in 24" is the alabaster tan. Any third party vendors you recommend?

I used a place through Amazon called TZ laces

Perfect!  That looks like exactly what I need.  I tried a search earlier in Amazon but those never popped up.  I only found the OrthoStep ones but those look too textured.

I totally second using TZ laces. I've nabbed a couple of flat waxed ones from them for using on my Long Branch and Darmstadt. The thick, rounded laces were just chewing up the leather on the tongue and under the eyelets. Flat ones worked out way better. Have not tried any of their thin, round ones, but the quality on the laces I have used has been great.

Correct, it's on the B34. At first, I thought it was a strange fit, but it's growing on me. Dropped down 1/2 size. There's tons of volume.

Just an fyi but TZ is located overseas so it might take some time to get the laces.... Otherwise they really have great products.

The ones I ordered are 3/32" or 2.5mm, are those the thin ones?

Honestly? I really can't remember. Hoping someone else can chime in. I don't remember what thickness standard AE laces are and don't want to send you off down the wrong path.

I dont recal for sure either - I think I ordered 100 different pairs of laces as they had a size i really liked but it was a mistake order so I got every color and length I could in that width then they threw in like an extra 15 - 20 pairs -

@angelescrest did you want round or flat? I will see what I have here in what lengths. I curently have flat in my gobi

Is flat a good option? I was only looking at round. But if you have some convincing pictures I'm all to considering options for my chukkas.

I like the look of the flat but they take a long time to break in to slide better....honestly the round are probably better.

I am looking to add a pair of suede "somethings" to my rotation. Need suggestions (besides Allen Edmonds Gobi which I own and love) and even offers if you have something (9EE, 9E, 9½E, some 9½D) in my size for sale. I live in NC where we have a very dry and moderate winter (almost no snow, so I can wear suede nearly year round.

In what part of the state do you live? Because we, in the Triangle, have gotten horrid snow the past two years!
