Wow, I must be having an off day. You said Bob's chili in your post. I guess they just looked like oxblood to me - could just be the lighting. Beautiful shoes regardless.

I thought they looked like oxblood too, despite him stating bob's chili in the post.

Here's a comparison of chili and oxblood with and without flash for a side by side look--

This RDA sale has been my introduction to AE. It was good timing for wanting to get into better men's clothing.

Nice varied set of choices.  Wear them in good health!

Been in both Kansas City (for a wedding) and Puerto Vallarta (for vacation) for the past 9 days and am finally heading home. Aside from the black Carlyles in my duffle, I only brought the Kenwoods and the slim briefcase.

If I didn't have the wedding to go to, I'd have made due with briefcase as my line bag!

I'm glad I'm not the one who keeps confusing Kirkwoods and Kenwoods.

Great looking set of shoes. I usually see the strand in walnut (that's what I have), but I really like walnut on the McAllister.

Family collection after a long- overdue polish of some of my lesser worn shoes.

No worries, I am sure eBay and the seller will take care of you. From the add the seller seemed confused about if they were even cordovan and guessed because of the feel of the corrected grain as he was unaware.

The seller was cool and issued a refund. Glad we caught this before they shipped.

Thanks again!

Thanks again!

Not too sure it wasn't on purpose. He just relisted them as cordovan...

GD. I have a pair of Kenwoods too, but they didn't make the trip. The KIRKwoods did though.

I own 'em both too. It happens.

By the way, where do you guys purchase Saphir Renovateur usually?

I bought mine from The Hanger Project.  I've ordered several items from them, and the alacrity and communication was great.  The only small issue I experienced was addressed by Kirby himself.  Saphir seems to be priced pretty much the same anywhere you see it, so I like supporting a small business.  I got a chance to talk to him for a few minutes, and he sounds like a solid guy and good businessman.

My $0.02.

(btw - I own a fair range of Saphir products, and I've been very happy/impressed with all of them...)
