I got shoe bags with my Rutledges and she'll park Aves, but not cordovan strands or Bradley's (currently wearing).

I think it may depend on whether the defects were caught at the factory or returned by customers.

Chris

That definitely looks the same.

Do your pebble grain, Dainite-soled shoes squeak a lot when you walk around in them? My Dundees (which are borderline too big for me) squeak quite a bit.

While I thought I would end up purchasing the Cody for the anniversary sale, these black strands are stunning. In don't regret that purchase at all. Another nice job by AE.

The Port Washington shoebank is great. It's the only one where you can actually see most of the inventory and look through the boxes yourself. They have a whole wall of clearance shoes - occasionally you can find some sweet old SMUs/MTOs there. Definitely worth going. Also, Port Washington is an adorable little town. I love the Wisconsin/Lake Michigan shore. Sheboygan is one of my favorite places to go for a relaxing weekend.

Agree on the Port location being awesome. I've been there twice each for over an hour and feel like I have missed half the place. Im only 25 mins from the place.

@JSO1 you stay away from our precious shores and quiet towns. We need all those sheboygan brats too. We have enough Illinois people up here already. wink.gif

I'm no Illinoisan - I grew up on the east coast and only was in IL/WI for a few years (basically spent every weekend in Milwaukee, though).

I'm posting this from my mobile device, so I don't know if the photo will go through, but I noticed an apparent defect on the sole of my new pair of MacNeils. I doubt anybody would notice it once it's on my foot, and it doesn't seem to alter the integrity of the sole at all, but I thought I'd check with you guys to see if you think it may result in wearability problems down the road.

Love this part of the country. While I've never been to the store, all of my seconds have been through them. Lovely people too.

Port Washington is the location I always deal with. Got a pair of McAllister seconds and nothing as wrong with them. You should be fine.

It looks like the joint where the two ends of the welt meet.

Me and the McTavish brothers think it's time for some Mexican food.

I suppose I should have said "the McTavish brothers and I...."

Yep I'd say so too. On my brown Leeds it looks even more "chipped" than that. I just put some cream/wax on it so the leather's light color doesn't make it so apparent. Then again, they specifically let the welt meet on the inside of the shoe where it will be the least visible, unless you cross your legs and stick the foot into someone's face biggrin.gif
