hey man, the conditioner cleaner is not recommended for cordovan. They look cloudy to me. Try to buff that stuff off with a damp rag and horsehair brush. Once you've gotten that haze off, then you can use a shining product like VSC, Saphir cordovan cream, or AE burgundy cordovan creme. Bush until desired shine. smile.gif

Haha! Those are clearly calf leather.

Sorry for the quick and dirty cell phone pic. I will polish them up tonight and try to get some better pics.

Chris

Same phone and the same desk for this photo. Cleaner / conditioner and polish sure make a difference.

Gentlemen,

I wanted to inform everyone that I have given notice at Allen Edmonds, and my final day will be this coming Monday. My time at AE has been awesome, but it's time for a change of scenery. I don't plan on going anywhere, and if anything, this will probably allow me to be more involved in discussions. I just won't have the inside scoop on a lot of things :)

For those of you that are waiting on shoes from me, feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any questions.

No, those are Color #0 shell, the rarest of all shells. It comes only from the most pristine rumps of white unicorns.

A loss for AE. Looking forward to you participating more in discussions here, too.

I've seen a few pairs of these and they don't crinkle like most CG stuff. It's a weird, buttery soft variant.
Came across the weybridge's at BCF today. DEFINITELY corrected grain. And didn't even feel like good corrected grain. 99 marked down from 295. I passed. Really cheap feeling and plasticy

BCF must have purchased a ton of these Weybridges. My local BCF has 6 pairs

Those look awesome...I really like how navy boots look though I am not sure how to include them in my rotation which is primarily business casual leaning more towards formal side...

The broguing seems not tight neither.. It's too.. fat (?) - lack of better term.

Having another issue with Strand with tiger striping on left pair and the right pair's tongue mis-stitched and thus "popping out"

Took shipment of new shoes in today and most of them are very disappointing. Craftsmanship is certainly extremely poor this time around.

In the tiger striping caused by scaring of the calf hide?

I guess charcoal and grey are the two main for dress...in casual I wear the blue with grey/light tan/and light blue and a few others.

If you guys had to choose between the McGregor or MacNeil, which would you go with?
I need versatility between khakis, wool trousers, cords, nice dark denim. Thanks for your opinion.

Those look pretty similar to me, I'd think it has more to do about which fits better. Honestly, I went with the macneil (they're in transit to me) when I was making that same decision earlier this week.

I wanted to mention that Mr. Sweeney from the Freeport store was finally promoted to AM. I'd like to think all of my (and others here) rave reviews of his service had something to do with it. Really happy for him.
