Who better to ask than the folks here but how would I go about re darkening the medallion on the left so both don't look so mismatched? Its bothersome and I wonder of its a simple fix or if I should take them to my local store.

I have to say, I just picked up a pair of Warwicks in the RDA sale and am feeling the exact same way. Of course now it's making me feel the need to try the Rogue next.

And get all of each in every color............dammit!

No, just the double flap briefcase, but I added the travel tag that came with the briefcase which is what you did too.

The bag is looking better and better with each day that passes as I use it more.

I found the 201 to be super comfortable and fit my foot very well. Looking forward to more shoes on it.

Bourbon is Walnut calf burnished with black as far as I understand, you could start slowly adding some black polish to the toe cap and that should work.

I honestly thought that but I figured I would ask before potentially ruining an expensive shoe. Thank you much!

Don't be too envious of the shine. Some of that is the camera flash and working the color editing and contrast and they are a great deal more "normal" without it. Hey, if you are going to post "shoe porn" you need to make them look as good as possible.

Ok, I got it.  Funny.

I just received a pair of Dalton's in Oxblood and they're beautiful, but felt really roomy inside with dress socks.

Fortunately Costco has some smartwool-type merino blend socks on sale for the fall/winter, and these thicker socks fit the boots perfectly for me. Now they're very comfortable and fit well!

I just realized - what do you people in the north use in the winter? Do you ever wear leather soles - even just on the sidewalks - or is there too much worry of salt damage?

swims overshoes over my dress shoes then dundee suede whenever the conditions are right (aka no melting snow or not currently snowing... basically when ground is pretty dry)

I've seen a few pairs of these and they don't crinkle like most CG stuff. It's a weird, buttery soft variant.
Came across the weybridge's at BCF today. DEFINITELY corrected grain. And didn't even feel like good corrected grain. 99 marked down from 295. I passed. Really cheap feeling and plasticy

I am hoping that AE might offer some variation of boot with some variation of warm lining once the smoke clears from RDA.  During the MTO period, I had tried to get a boot made with wool or similar lining, no dice.  But there have been rumors about a possible warm boot option soon so maybe.

Also, a PSA.
The next best thing to MTO is NOS / out of production items.

Recent eBay purchases that I could not get from AE...
all first quality new old stock:

-chili Bradleys
-brown Senecas (4 lasted NST)
-burgundy shell MacNeils (edit to note these are back on the AE site!)
-brown shell MacNeils
-black Bayfields

In addition to being unobtanium, the above items would retail at over $2500 but cost just over $1000.
-1 seller to watch is boater1105wnt, as I have bought many from him and have had excellent experiences, his descriptions have been correct.

Thanks a bunch! Sounds like I might not even want them for car to office duty then and keep just using the Recon. At -20C, which is pretty normal here in winter it takes a while to get warm in the car and even the Recons can't really keep my feet warm since I'm not walking but just sitting in the car. If I actually walk in them even -40C is doable.

Saved a search on ebay just now wink.gif

Sorry for the quick and dirty cell phone pic. I will polish them up tonight and try to get some better pics.

Chris

And here are the after polish photos. The color didn't change that dramatically - that's due to a better camera and better lighting. But the cleaner/conditioner and polish definitely took away the cloudiness and deepened the color.
