I like the navy suede Cavanaugh. Just trying to figure out now how I could get the color of the edge change so I can start enjoying them. Urg.

I see, maybe they can offer a discount on them to cover the cost of having your cobbler change the edge?

What about returning and grabbing the Patriot from Club Monaco next time it's on 30% off, or seeing if they have any at the shoebank. I really like them because of the contrasting toe stitching and light edge.

Close up pic, sorry

Someone requested pics of the Loden Suede Cavanaugh. The pics is under dark light with phone flash.

The box labels them as "Olive" = Loden. They are a lot darker than what's shown online. Very warm feel to it. I am keeping them.

They look great - you and me both today! Ya know, I have the McAllisters in merlot as well as these same chesters. I think I actually prefer the chesters for their simpler perfs and medallion. They've also taken on a much richer color than my McAllisters, but I realize that's probably just because they're much older and well worn.

Chili LaSalle today.
Also Picked up some MacNeil 2.0 yesterday in Chili...love the shoes but not sure if I'm keeping them.

I didn't have any loafers in Oxblood - hey that's excuse enough for me. My local menswear / shoe store has an anniversary sale going on and these called my name. Aschers - I usually can't do loafers due to my high instep. These are a tad tight going on, but very comfortable when they are on. I think this style in this color is going to be very versatile.

Sorry for the quick and dirty cell phone pic. I will polish them up tonight and try to get some better pics.

That was me and thank you sir, I had to pull the trigger because the sale was ending but I will get to see them in person soon enough. I think they look pretty good from your pic, liking that color a lot. Was hoping for a muted grey/brown undertone olive and it seems like that might be what it is.

I think Loden works very well in winter!

Found my favorite last; the 201, breaking in the rogues. No break in discomfort at all.

@smfdoc - Those are beautiful! I'm wearing my merlot Chesters today, too, but they are long overdue for a shine and I would be embarrassed to post them next to yours. What product did you use to ring out that shine?
