Has anybody else tried wearing their Bleecker Streets with a suit? I've done it a couple times but am not sure how to feel about it. As long as I'm standing, they pretty much resemble a cap toe oxford. It just felt a bit weird crossing my legs and showing them off in all their glorious chukka-ness.

If James Bond can wear chukkas and chelseas with suits, then so can I! Or you too.

I have a pair of Bourbon Strands.

Should I get Walnut Strands or Walnut McAllisters?

Strange question. I'd lean toward either "No" or "Get both" depending on your situation.

I have mostly jeans and only need to business casual once/week... but wanted to start dressing better. The closed-lacing 65 last seems to fit my foot the best.

Walnut McAllisters. I have the walnut strands, and while they're fantastic shoes and I love to wear them with just the right outfit, I do feel like I would've gotten more mileage out of the walnut McAllister. In my head, the heavy broguing combined with the light color walnut might be easier to pull off in a wingtip rather than a captoe.

I'll vote wingtips. I think they look good with jeans. I tend to wear my Neumok wingtips with jeans.

I'm feeling that way about the merlot Manchesters on the shoebank

Brown. I was almost going to get green at one point, but stopped myself. I kind of wish they still had the cronmok.

Anyone have a belt recommendation for the Aberdeen (AE for Brooks in dark brown pebbled leather)

McAllister is my favorite shoe.    IMO, wingtips are more versatile than half-brogue captoes.

The Manistee in brown is a good matching belt for a brown brogue shoe, even though it's not pebble grain.
