I'm hoping they can remove the stain. Anything I should do when I get home?

I believe many have had luck removing oil stains using a vinegar solution. In fact, there have been a few recent case studies in the shoe care thread, where as we speak a contriversy is raging regarding the potentially harmful effects of saddle soap on leather.

Hope this can be resolved.

Check all sections of the listing for width, including photos. Once j purchased a pair that the seller listed as D width with no photos. The item that I received was E width. The seller refused to refund. I had to file a claim with EBay (aka "ask EBay to step in"), and I was refunded the full amount, including shipping. There are time constraints, make sure you follow.

I am not sure which way it will go if there are no references to width and there is no communication prior to bidding.

Think the seller is cool with the return as it has been accepted and just waiting for return shipping label now. The width was not listed and there were no pictures of the size. I sent the seller photos showing the size and the measurements I was getting.

ALLEN EDMONDS BROWN

Items are made of: leather . Rubber sole men's lace-up oxford casual shoes Split-toe blucher with an overlay plug Lined premium leather upper with regular welt Dainite rubber sole and heel with comfort foam insole

New without tags/box,
Measurements:
insole/outsole length: 11"
widest point: 3.5"
heel height: "

The length measurement is a bit ambiguous since it's not clear if this is the insole or outsole, but if it is the outsole it is off according to my measurements.

For what it worth, I wear the same length across those 3 lasts but different widths.  65 last-D width, 333 B width and 511 E width.

The 65 and 333 lasts are the same size for me (7.5 EEE). With the 511 last I wear an 8 E (Varno & Dalton), or a 7 EEE (Cordovan Dundee). 7.5 EEE in the 511 last is way too wide for me and 7.5 E is too narrow.

Between these two posts and the others, I am not seeing much consistency. After thinking about these, the fit of my current line up, and my brannock measurements, I am thinking I would probably best take a 9.5 C or 10B. Perhaps a 9.5D will work. I'll just have to try them on, so no eBay purchases until then. Sigh

They are a bit snugg for me. I wear a 10.5d in all 3 last. Fits more like 511.

Got a question, I finally located a new pair of macneils at a Allen Edmonds retail store in Orlando fl. Since the shoes have been sitting in the box for quite some years there is some indentions in the shell. Nothing too bad. How can I take these out? [IMG]

Got my 5th Street from the Shoebank sale...LOVE IT!!

This is my 1st pair of brown boots so stoked. As others stated, I went down 1/2 size and upped width to "E" (from normal).

Boots fit like a glove (unlike my prev Daltons which I ended up selling cos I could never get a glove fit ...eventually got the tan Loakes Bufford in same size which is perfect).

Was surprised boots require no break-in.

This one will be hard to take off ...dayum I love this so much, I might actually start dressing up for the weekends just so I can wear these.

Only thing is after wearing my Loakes (dainite sole), the leather sole feels butterish!! Might remediate that later but for now, loving these boots!!

That looks like some really, really loose lacing for bal boots, intentional?
