Haha 3 years ago I didn't know what balmorals and bluchers were.

Anyway the OP asked for one shoe and i cheated by giving 4 shoes. IMHO these are the 4 most versatile fit-for-denim shoes (kenilworth being the 5th) that AE has in its lineup. Easily dressed up or down, these 4 can go from jeans with polo or trousers with SC. I don't have the McT but o do have the Elgins and I don't think they are as versatile as the 4 I mentioned above.

If a gun was put to my head and asked only to pick one Id go for the Bradley just because they have a flat welt. An MTO Flat welted dundee would be my top choice though.

Late start = no coffee.
Monsoon = LongBranches with fresh coats of HDLP and polish.

No worries! I'm kind of late to the party and am still trying to figure things out! It's pathetic, I've started to think about shoes at night and stressing over what pair I should get. I'm starting to lose sleep over it. That can't be a good (at least not for my bank account).

It's interesting how much the difference in color between that and the Golden Brown CXL changes the personality of the boot. Both look great but yours give off a dressier vibe than my GB's, I can more easily imagine yours being dressed up a bit.

Below is an example of bad cell phone photography not properly handling shadows.

Truffle/capachino shell McGraws with coffe for comedic effect. (Get it?)

LOL, great shot!  A keeper if her head is intact.

Thanks to @garland

for helping with an RDA order.  I called the Philadelphia store, asked for Garland and got Kyle.

incoming:

brown Normandy

old school Vibram heavy lug

size 15

And curses to each and every one of you that described the comfortable soft Kudu leather!

(you know who you are and you know what you did)

That is it for me unless/until trunk show.

Was that an SMU? The standard sole is like a double / mini-lug hybrid.

Did you use Obenauf HDLP on those? I was afraid to use it on mine last year but may do it this year.

PSA: There is 1 remaining Longbranch available from Nordstrom Rack for $120. If you're a 10E that is a fantastic deal.

Yes. I feel it is necessary for the winters here in New York City. So much snow and road salt and slush....

I used it on my non-AE boots and was very satisfied with the results.
