I just dont think the Normandy would work with khakis/chinos. They would grab too much attention looking out of place. If you are something like I.T. or can get away with jeans at work they *might* work but otherwise I would relegate them to weekend duty. They really do look like aged boots from WW2. I gotta hand it to AE in that department.
I only had a real quick look at them in real life and my eye was quickly drawn away by some walnut First Aves that are way more business appropriate but could work with jeans as well. I am a boot guy so I always like looking at the boots but the Normandy wouldnt be for me.
My 2 cents.

The odenwalds would work better

Thinking of pulling the trigger for a pair of dark chili Daltons. Can someone post pictures out in the wild? How do they look with denim? Lastly, are they darker than chili LaSalle's/Del Rays?

I am a big fan of the chili color. Already have pair of Byrons and LaSalles, so trying to decide whether I can use another pair in that color.

Thank you in advance

Yes an no. The issued boots with the uniform would have been polished black and in better shape. These are "aged".
I just think these are ones to see before you buy.

Yeah, I was kidding around. Sorry my banter isn't better.

I've seen them in person. They're not to my taste at all.

I live in Los Angeles.  I'm not sure whether there are any BCFs near where I live, but I should check.  Thanks for the suggestion!

That gorgeous pair of Calf and Linen “Carlsbad” Spectators have been sitting there for four months—Firsts, too. And they marked 'em down to $69.00 last I saw a week ago.

Poor babies just a' withering on the damn vine. :(

When you are in "reply" mode, the following menu bar will be at the top:

In the portion of the bar below, click on the icon to the far left ("insert image"):

It has a option to upload.  Click on desired photo in your files folder, and it will upload.  When the upload is complete, click "submit."  It will insert your photo into the text box.

Odenwalds have been missing from the AE website for a few days.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Is anyone able to share their fit experience with the first ave? Maybe compared to a Dalton? Or the rogue (only 201 I own)? Or even 5 last?

I am 9D in 5s and Dalton, but went down to 8.5D (maybe E) in the Rogue (and they are just a little short).

Thinking this boot will be my next purchase. Thanks!

Hey guys,

anyone know the fit of the single monk warwicks? is it the same as strand?

Do the outlets usually carry seconds in the bags/briefcases?  There are some really amazing discounts on the AE website for some of the Strand/Park Ave briefcases/messenger bags, and I'm wondering if they have seconds at an even steeper discount available.

I heard that Odenwald and Strandmok have been "disappeared" for the same reason and length of time as the cordovan collection.
