can someone help me with the sizing of a few models, the 333 franciscan single monk, 201 last warwick single monks and 1943 cornwallis?

i am pretty much universally a 7.5D.  However, I have a slightly high instep.  The 8 last (mora 2.0) fits me perfectly.  the 5 last (strands) fit comfortably, but there is a decent gap on the laces, ie they don't close even close to all the way.

may pick up one of these models with the upcoming RDA sale, and with 2 of em being new lasts i have no clue how they fit, thanks.

Rediscover America Sale. It's an annual, big AE sale in the fall.

I have a decent gap on the 5 last at 8 D and size down to 7.5 D for the Franciscan (buckling at the middle hole). Can't help with the others.

The 333 last is very long in the toe.  You might want to go to a 7E for the Franciscans.

As for the 1943 last, the Q & A on the website says that it's like the 333 only with a shorter toe.  How much shorter they don't say.

My guess is that your sizing for the 201 would be consistent with your sizing on the 108 and 65 lasts.

The Franciscans are great looking, but my own feet are too blocky for the 333 last.  I hope the 1943 is shorter enough in the toe so that I can wear it, because the Cornwallis is a killer shoe that I'd hate to pass up.

The 201 is higher instep than any of the other lasts. The 333/1943 last is in between on instep. I fit them true to size with the 333 having a bit of gap in the laces, the 201 being just right. The 65 last just plain hurts with my high instep.

I suggest, if you are high instep but can get in a 65, you'll be true to size on the 333. 201s will be true to size with a little room above the toe.

@JSO1 - I wasn't a happy camper either. I had my hopes up when the ads included the Normandy, but found out from CAC that the B34 is larger than the 809 (Gobi), and they don't go lower than 7D - so similar to most Italian collection shoes, I think I'm SOL.

@ScofieldReturns good advice from all these guys so far. Wanted to note though that the 108 is much narrower than any of these other lasts mentioned. You'll probably need some trial and error / size changes. Have you ever tried my favorite last 222)? It might work well for you.

My situation is a bit like yours--slightly high instep--just a whole size up (same width).  I have the same issue with the 5--it's comfy, but the v-gap is a bit too much for my taste.  I went half-size down for both the Franciscan and the Cornwallis, and they fit like a dream.

Lollygagging this morning so my PC PoD came earlier today. These Siena loafers are making it extra difficult to actually leave for work...
