HAHAHA - I was just asking you!

I am going to use my suede cleaning kit on them to see how they react. Wish I knew the tannery as I would love to see what other colors are available and have a boot made for me.

How the frak you keep these so clean?

I've been pretty lucky I guess. Until only recently I wore them primarily as my airport travel shoes (about once a month roughly). Easy on and off, no worries if they get nicked or dirty from going thru x-ray or when under plane seats. Now that I have worn them a time or two with shorts, they are starting to get some spots.

I've had the same idea about testing out the suede treatment, just never get around to it. Keep us posted if you give it a shot. I'll do the same.

The infamous acorn hillfire! I'll share what I did recently on mine.

I've had my Lake Shore Drive loafers for about a year and 8 months, give or take. Literally I've never done a thing to them until the last week. I used a suede eraser and brush, which cleaned them up very nicely, but made them a lot lighter. I nervously applied some leather lotion to the inside quarter to see how it would take, and decided to go for it. Darkened them up very nicely, and look almost brand new again. I really don't know what you're supposed to do to it, but I'm pleased with how it turned out.

Are the Lake shore lined? I wish the Addison was unlined as it is never worn with a sock

There's only one thing I'll wear without socks - unlined shell.

CXL is great unlined- my two handsewn USA Sebago's(just copped a New in Box from the 80's pair) beefrolls and boat shoes are unlined CXL and terrific

I have green maritimes but they turned my feet green. Selling them now because I'm not thrilled with the fit.

I don't have any other loafers. Not a loafer guy.

I think that's Bob's chili, not sure though.

On the AE website, during business hours, they have a live chat. They are very good about taking style numbers and giving you info on the shoe. I do this a lot with eBay finds, sometimes the seller will have the wrong style or color listed, but the style code doesn't lie.

I looked for a minute and did not see any link to the live chat. Can you tell me where to find it? Thanks in advance.

Talk about a great way to start the weekend... 3 AE boxes waiting for me at the door!

I'll try and get a few pics uploaded.

It's not always there. Usually only during business hours. If available it will be at the top right of every page on the same line as the phone #, stores, account, shopping cart, and search box.

Kenwoods arrived today. As a few have mentioned, the blue is muuuuch darker, almost appearing black in most lighting. Seems the right shoe has been tried on and has a few nicks but otherwise a good looking pair of 1sts at a nice sales price. Plus I know this cxl only gets better with wear and tear.

I went with the same size as my Maritimes (9B, as compared to 9D on the 5 last) and the strap is definitely tight. Since these will be worn sockless, I wanted a snug fit. Think the strap will stretch? I'll give them a little more time on the carpet and/or get them slightly wet and wear em (accidentally finding with the Maries).

I do have the bourbon moras , & those are the only shoes I've got compliments on from complete strangers. I'd love to get a pair in brown shell!!

Looking nice, I'm looking to buy the manistee in brown but don't want something which will flake after couple of wears. On AE website, their belts don't really have any good reviews.

What do others who have used manistee for some time, think about them?
