Not a ton left, but the Walnut Rutledge at $177 is a steal

If those are chili, they are definitely Bob's (burnished) chili. Good looking boots. I look forward to wearing mine this fall.

Thanks for the heads up.  I just picked up a pair of Walnut Rutledges.  You're right, $177 IS a steal for these.

How does the fit of the Rutledge compare to the Harrison?

The arc of string/thread protruding from the top edge of the shoe.

Any chance for a clearer picture with better lighting?

For reference, here's what the top line of my Vass Budapester looks like. You'll notice the piping is there, but much more discrete.

Leather is a fibrous material, so you will rarely see a clean cut edge, especially with hand cutting tools.

@Buster Brown I thought the fit was the same. Btw - I've seen walnut Rutledge 1st qs at bcf for 139.99 - of course none in my size.

Maybe you're viewing on phone, but I think the picture is good enough.

I couldn't see it at first, but did notice it after a while.

Yes. I noticed that too. I'm debating between the AE merlot park:
http://www.shoebank.com/FactorySecondInventory.php?STY=5875S&DIM=E&SIZE=075

Or this one from Charles Tyrwitt:
http://www.ctshirts.com/mens-shoes/mens-business-shoes/Tan-Baxter-chiselled-toe-cap-shoes?q=usddefault%7C%7Cml233tan%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C

I have a feeling the AE will fit me better though as I measure 7.5/8E on the fit guide. The CT, looks better but does seem a bit slim along the toebox which is where I need the room.
