Looks like the buying sites are paying around 75 cents on the dollar for Macy's gift cards right now... :tounge:

@misterellington, thought I would share -
Wearing my black suede luccas today and had a woman reach down to touch them. Awesome - now I see how you'd like those sannibels. What was not so good was when her friend said she hasn't seen me at work with the same pair is shoes for a month at least - do they actually keep track of that?! 😌

Can anyone comment on the fit and sizing recommendations of the Sea Island loafers?

@garland ?

Old-style Lexingtons today:

Has anybody seen or tried on the Hagarstown moc boots? I was thinking about alternatives of these (rancourt, quoddy), then I see AE came out with them.

I believe new Camp Moc shoes - Hagarstown and Northland with their introductory prices.

NORTHLAND CAMP MOC - $175 .. now $125

HAGARSTOWN CAMP MOC BOOT - $195 ... now $145

I wish i could! I haven't seen any in person, except on Paul G's feet. I should have asked him if he changed size. It is the same last as the Kirkwood, and the detailing is nearly identical. I would be confident in saying that it will run the same. Some people do size down a half size in those.

So what's the difference between a Camp Moc and boat shoe?

My Kirkwoods arrived today. Beautiful shoe, but I just don't know if I can get past the bright white sole. Might look into exchanging for the Northlands.

So the shoes I ordered from the Shoebank finally got to me in NYC - took 11 days total.

These are the Brooks Brothers MacNeil in chocolate suede. Brown edging and black (proper) Dainite soles. Really nice shoes, just not sure I can live with the wonky broguing near the wingtip at the front of the right shoe. Shame as I used the Amex offer and got them for ~$170. What do you guys think - would the wonkiness become less apparent over time, or more?

Hi guys! Any chance of getting some good advice? Some of you gave me some good input earlier. Thinking about ordering myself some Strands. This time I have the chance to order any size I want, but doing returns will be hard (international). Have a bit of a sizing issue, so I'm considering going from 10EE to 10E. See link for my current park avenues fit in 10EE.

Some info:
- I tried the online AE printable size guide, which gave me 10.5D
- Traveling abroad I had the chance to try Park Avenues in 10.5D in the US - came out to narrow/tight
- I currently have some Park Avenues in 10EE which fit rather fine, but slightly loose around the heel, and gives just a bit to much slipping. See the linked pics of how they fit.
- I have some millimeters to go lengthwise on the 10EE, but I think the main problem is the heel being to wide.
- My current Park Avenues also have a slight air "whoosh" sound problem from the toebox. No big deal though. But might be an indication on to large/tight sizing?

Other shoes I have which fit very good : Sebago Docksides (10D), Red Wing Beckman (9D), Loake Churchill (9 UK,wide/big last), Common Projects Achilles (EU:43-->US:10?), Ecco (EU: 43 --> US 9.5?).

Thanks!

Pretty wonky. I don't know if I'd keep those.

Pretty much the Weron sole, as it is much harder and designed for outdoor wear rather than gripping flat wet surfaces. The moccasin design for both types has been pretty standard for at least 50 years (probably much longer). The feel of the camp moc will be pretty different from your kirkwoods due to the change in hardness of sole and being flat like a driver with much less rise from heal to toe.  I am definitely getting a pair but just can't decide between those beautiful colors. I have both a blue and an olive casual belt, so I guess I'll start with one of those.
