Then elated, 'cause they fit, were what i was looking for and were awesomely priced. Who knew?!

For someone who hasn't been around too long, you're definitely one of the more insightful/intelligent people I've come across :)

+1 - I definitely find the Player shoe & Aberdeen to run much larger than the typical 222 lasted shoes.  If you can get your hands on them, I absolutely agree - try them yourself first.

Perfect. I want to pick up a walnut Strand but the only thing holding me back is the bowing I already experience on my Park Avenues...

I have to wait a couple weeks for the shoes and belts to arrive so I'll just cuddle with the swims and shoe care products until then haha.

Chicago

Awesome.

What picture taking method? Please share. Thanks.

there's this small platform and outline of a foot (one for each foot) in which you stand and line up your foot with each respective outline.  there are mirrors on the left and right side of each foot and then the associate takes a picture from the front then the back with an ipad and you get a size.   it's really new and my description probably sucks big time, but it's cool :)

for the shoe trees, is there a Left shoe tree and a Right shoe tree??? (nvm figured it out. yes L and R specific)

Hello everyone. After deciding that i want to put a little more effort into the way i dress (jeans and tshirt)I have recently stumbled on this thread and AE shoes. I must say reading some of your posts did get me off to a good start on building a dressier wardrobe- Thank you. Albeit a little more casual here is my first boot.

Thank you yes they are. I picked mine up from Amazon, looks to be similar pricing to Nordstrom. Want to add a darker boot to my rotation and notice Nordstrom has a to boot new york 'stallworth' and wolverine 1000 mile on good deals too...what do you guys reckon?

The Waltons are extremely comfortable and have a chunky solidity that makes them great for walking.  I'm thinking about doing a Walton MTO in Burnished Brown.

Just wondering - with the Jefferson (1.0) still floating around (firsts & seconds) for its current price, why would you go with the McAllister?  For the color choice?  Don't get me wrong, the McAllister is nice and all but it's no Jefferson.

I know this is the AE thread, but wanted to say that the 1k Mile & RW Moc Toe are both really good.  I feel like Nordstrom includes these on every sale, but if you don't own them, now's a good time.

BTW - how's your loafer search going :) Did you try any of my suggestions.
