So now the Rush Street are on clearance.  Does anybody have any insight as to a new style that will replace these, or are we stuck with the Godawful Strandmok?  I better snag some Rush Streets while I still can.

I bought some mactavishes (1st quality) and the heel separated after 6 months of admittedly hard wear and a two shoe rotation. AE replaced them citing a structural issue and replaced them. The replacements did it again (after my rotation grew to 3 pairs of shoes). I super glued it and have not looked back. I also have some 2nd quality kenilworths which I love. They are doing the same thing.  I will assume some of it is be being overweight and/or being hard on shoes.  That said, it is still frustrating. I am going to go with a pair of something with danite soles for raining days and expand to say 4 pairs of shoes total. That might help.

It's $29.99 for 2 jars, BUT it's $2 additional charge (per jar) for Renovateur... So now it's at $34 + $3 shipping ($37), which at $18.50/jar is cheaper than most online stores at $22-23.

I use this stuff sparingly (maybe once a month; if that), and have a full jar still, but decent deal for those looking some

I gotta say, these aren't my cup of tea, but hopefully it does well for AE.  Also, I think these were described as distressed to give the "worn in" look, but I'm also not sure if these were just abused in the store by people trying them on?

I rarely go to the AE store by me, but the last time I did there was a burgundy shell Leeds on display and it was beat to hell... you'd think they'd want to show them off at their best..?  Maybe some SA's are good about it to clean/polish the display models occasionally.

I think the bright yellow laces may have proved an impracticality to our soldiers during the Normandy invasion.

Thank you!  I bought these used from a SF member, and his 'for sale' posting had older pictures of these where they looked very much like Walnut, which overtime they have just darkened to the color they are now which I like a lot :)

Here is one of the photos:

@JSO1 do you recall what size that boot was? It seems the waist is tapered much more than the Oddenwald....and they changed a few other things as well. Would have wished they released a cap toe Oddenwald or not changed the pattern and made a taller Oddenwald...Could be the pictures.

Look forward to seeing one in person
