Um... you want to know if a site that has the word "replica" in their name is selling an authentic product?

I checked on a few, and the images look like genuine Allen Edmonds shoes, but that doesn't mean the shoe they ship you will be authentic. Generally, it is tough to find Allen Edmonds shoes discounted this much, especially the entire collection at one time. I would also be wary of buying from a website called highquality-replica-louisvuitton and expecting authentic merchandise.

It's because they just stole the pictures from sellers of the genuine stuff.  For example, their Norwich 259891_1_.jpg

has the same two white specks as the ones listed on Buy.com.

I find that you can probably do this by just bulling the toe.

I would check out Crockett & Jones on sale for other shoes in the $400 range. I think you can get them in that range.

Where would we be able find C&Js on sale? The b&m rarely posts any discounts and I am wary of buying any $400+ shoes without first trying them on

I buy most of my C&J overseas directly from their shops there. There is a C&J store here in NYC if you prefer to order stateside. Also, many stores such as Barney's carry C&J. If you order overseas, benchgrades will probably set you back around $450 and handgrades around $650? Unless you catch some at the Warehouse Sale, most C&J sales only take out 20% or something (nothing too impressive). My experience is that the sale price at the NYC C&J store is comparable to the regular price if you order from the UK (of course if you do not get dinged with fees).

Barneys has a few styles on sale right now. There is a forum member here who is also a Barneys SA that keeps us up to date as to the dates they go on sale and does pre-sales too. I think his handle is tacobender. I believe you can find his contact info in the C&J thread.

Contrary to how smart "China" (per say) is at copying goods, sometimes they dont even know what it is they are copying. All they know is that its hot and highly sought after so they copy it. They dont necessarily understand the difference between a fashion vs. quality brand like Gucci and Ferragamo VS. AE and C&J

Thanks, but I was joking wink.gif

At least they're honest about them being "replicas".

VERY pleased with these Hales in walnut burnished I received.  I think AE did a great job on the burnishing - lovin the dark walnut.  And a really good deal from the Clearance section!

I wish I could get the balmora to work for my foot but it has never worked, my foot is pretty narrow and when I go down on width I have to go up on length and then my heel slips. plain.gif
