And you might want to consider the Rogue and McGregor.

Even Manton said it would be silly to spend a lot on white or dirty bucks.  Sometimes "good enough" is, in fact, just fine.

I'll eat my words if these fail in just 2-3 years.  But, my 9 year old made in China Gold Cups - though certainly showing their age - still have supple leather and every seam intact.  I'm hoping my Maritimes will do likewise.

Damn well said.

Sometimes after I buy a bunch of stuff I have some buyer's remorse - I literally decided to go with the Larchmont instead of the Kirkwood at the "last minute" and have absolutely no regret on that decision.  The Kirkwood are really good for what they are, but they are still just a boat shoe.  With cold/bad weather most of the year, at most they would have gotten a bunch of weekend wear and that's it.  I literally wore the Larchmont out of the box for like 12 hours today with about 3+ miles of walking and forgot I even had them on.  Good luck to everyone who went with the Kirkwood/Maritime - hope they stand the test of time.

Thanks, do you think Bob's Chili is good polish for this dark chili burnished? http://www.allenedmonds.com/aeonline/producti_SF549_1_40000000001_-1?style=572

Anyway, they seem fine to me, for seconds. I don't think you'll find much better without stepping up to first quality.

I think the chili color looks fantastic with navy blue trousers. The extra burnished colors like bourbon, "dark chili" or "bobs chili," and oxblood, will have more of a matte than shiny finish.

Thanks. I checked again and Cap toe looks fine to me.  I'm fine with matte but just wanted the color is fine with Navy suit(or blue suit).

Of all the AEs that I own, two are DR-manufactured - the Grand Cayman & the Duke.  Tough call - are they noticeably inferior to the normal AE line?  Others might disagree, but I would say absolutely.  Are they still leaps and bounds above other brands - absolutely.  And I would say the pricepoint of the Kirkwood / Maritime more than makes up for it.  If you have a use for them, go for it.

Oh, and one more thing - I must have been some kind of moron leaving these black Jeffersons behind last year - these shoes are unbelievable.  Everyone who has the chance should snap these up asap.

Looking at my shoe - dark chili burnished - I find the poplar chili belt as burgundy but whereas the same belt in wide version appears true chili color.

Wide chili belt - http://shoebank.com/FactorySecondInventory.php?STY=39506S&DIM=9998&SIZE=40IN

Which one is better suited?

A little nervous here....

I placed my order with the Wi store on Thursday morning for a pair of Mora 2.0 in bourbon.  I have yet to receive a order confirmation/receipt of any type.  I did call yesterday and was told that they are just behind and hope to be all caught up by Monday.

Please tell me I am not the only one....

You are not the only one. They are pretty good but these big sale will put them behind at times.

I personally prefer 35mm belts, but 32mm is not much different. The belt and shoes are going to be about 3 feet apart and so if they are close, then you are okay. But get whichever you prefer. I like the basic wide belt better myself.

Looking for some advice regarding sizing suede shoes..

Should I get the same size in suede strands as calf leather strands or go down one size in width ? Don't really have much experience with suede..Any help is appreciated..

I honestly think the color is the same (lighting conditions may have been different for each photo). And honestly, keep in mind that most people will only catch brief glimpses of your belt from a distance. As long as you're in the same ballpark, you're good.

My walnut Dearborn is dark enough that it could easily pass as (non-burnished) original chili in most scenarios.

Not only do I think they go well together, I think they're one of the best (if not the best) color combinations out there (navy/walnut is another favorite of mine).
