So I was ready to pull the trigger on the burgundy Dundee shell seconds for $399, but of course when I went to do it, the burgundy pair had sold.

All they have left in my size is a black pair. I love shell, but have never considered black shell. The only time I ever wear black shoes is when I wear a suit (and even then it's rare).

I'm really looking for something that pairs well with nice dress jeans, a button down, and a sports coat. Anyone have black shell Dundees and wear them on the reg?

I don't have black shell Dundees, but I do have plain-toe Alden black shell boots, which I wear more than I originally expected to with jeans and button downs.

For the life of me I can not understand why many do not believe black shoes go with jeans...it is a timeless american look. I am, of course a fashion idiot however whenever I see black boots with jeans I think they rock...good ole American bad ass look...of course if they are skinny jeans or real tight jeans then well.....I will be polite and bow out now.

Black shell Dundee with brass eyelets and light transparent edge trim would be a fantastic jean chukka.

Thanks JSO1. Nice lineup you've got there.

Bought these Steinbok's from Nordstrom Rack a month ago, they were cheap enough to give them a shot and they're firsts. Unfortunately I have a high instep so balmorals aren't that great for me typically.

It seems I've put the boots away for the summer.  I'm enjoying my balmorals and bluchers and the occasional loafer.

Burgundy Cambridges today.

Last week, I received a pair of golden brown Kirkwoods from Shoebank.  I'm really pleased with the look and the quality.

Today, I snagged a pair in Navy from Kristle.  It's going to be a good summer!

Just received these Bleecker Streets as firsts- I was really excited to get them until I opened the box. Is there any way these are firsts?
