A couple pages back, someone mentioned the possibility of an upcoming Fathers Day Sale on the boat shoes. Does anyone have any mor details at this time, especially when it will start? Also, I really want a pair of Rush Streets and/or Lowry Hills, but don't want to spend full price. Any possibility they might go on sale?

Typically, gift cards don't pay commission.

Thanks. Do you have the Randolph loafer. Do they fit similar to Presidio?

I do not have the Randolph loafer - you can take a look at some of my older posts to see what I have commented about it previously.  The 79 last doesn't work at all for me, but in terms of the Randolph, I didn't find it at all similar to the Presidio - length felt too long for me, toebox was too wide, heel was too wide, and I just didn't fall in the right place if you know what I mean.  The Presidio is almost punishingly narrow but fit me really well, with the exception that the top is a killer if you have high arches.

PSA:  AE Varno 1.0 and 2.0 just went to clearance at AE site.

They look like a Dark Chili Leeds with a Toby mini lug sole.

Not a huge price break, but $247 - Am Ex  $50 = close to 2nds pricing.

They've been in clearance for some time, but seem to have expanded the available sizes (and have seen a $50 drop?). They're basically a Leeds, yes. They have a poron insole, although the upper looks more like the original Leeds than the Leeds 2.0.

Ahh, my bad.  Did not realize Varnos were already on clearance.

Dark Chili showed up today in 15d, the first time I have seen any Varno firsts in my size.

Looking at my new (and still unworn) shell Kenwoods, I've noticed that unlike my other shoes, the sole is stitched through the upper and into the insole, making them blake stitched (or of a similar construction). This is fine, but I'm now thinking of buying insoles to protect the stitching...

Franciscan monk straps out in the wild. I was hesitant to order them, but they look pretty clean in person. This burnished chili is such a rich color. In terms of fit, I went down a half length from my 65 size... This was probably not necessary, as they are a little tight in the toe box. Here's to hoping they stretch.

I ordered the 2.0 a few weeks ago in dark chili. Nice and comfortable shoe, but unfortunately they're on their way back to AE today for repairs since some of the heel lining started peeling away from the footbed (after just three wears). They also stain the bottom of your socks when new, so be careful...

Thank you for the heads up and sorry to hear.  Crossing my fingers and will watch for these issues.

Does anyone has a pic or two in-the-wild pic of Oxblood next to Dark Chili?

TIA.

Here are three pairs of Dark Chili (Strand, McGregor, Bleecker Street), with an Oxblood First Avenue between the McGregors and the Bleeckers.

I polish the Oxblood First Ave with black polish because it looked even lighter and more cherry out of the box. Styles with more perfs/broguing tend to be darker, though.
