Yes, they are Presidio. Wow, the price has gone up lately on those shoes at BB. There have often been high numbers of the BB Presidios available as factory 2nds from the Shoebank. I can remember them being $109 for a pair from Shoebank. Can't imagine them being more than $150. I have found often times the BB shoes available through Shoebank seem 1st quality to me. It can be tricky fitting hard sole loafers, especially if one's feet are a little different in size. That's why I haven't bought a pair.

I have the Maritime, a pair of Sperry's, and a pair of AE Eastports.  It's no contest, the Maritime is FAR better than either of the others.  More comfortable, better leather, better fit and finish.

What kind of treatment did these Leeds in shell cordovan receive to get a shine like this?

Looks like a layer of wax and maybe some cracking of that wax in the rolls. Alternatively it could be acrylic and either bloom or acrylic coming off in the rolls.

These were on the 0 last, I think they came out somewhere around 2007. Great fitting last, I still have a pair of Evanstons that are one of my favorite pairs of AEs.

I have a Navy Maritime in the mail right now, should be here next week. Looking forward to comparing the quality to my OSB brown CXL boat shoes.

+1
I shopped around a lot of boat shoes this year before settling on the Maritime. Absolutely love this shoe. It was exactly what I wanted. The CXL leather is butter soft. I'm definitely looking at other CXL offerings now.

$85 total off firsts. Sounds good to me...

It's a great time for seconds, but there are better sales for firsts coming up to use that AMEX promotion with, besides it can be earned on a gift-card and leveraged any time in the future...

Also, I'm suddenly happy I couldn't make it down to my AE store earlier last week... I'll be applying this to shell seconds, assuming the fitting goes well.

What sale is coming up? Talking about price matching Nordstrom's July sale?

Also I love my $349 burgundy shell Cambridges. Barely a flaw on them!

Father's day sale is the next one, and while it may not be billed as a sale we'll also see seasonal styles go on clearance at the end of summer. RDA is a while away, but it's the best value on firsts and not incompatible with the AMEX discount via the gift-card "trick".

For seconds we'll have a few more sales, including the tent sale from June 18th through the 28th.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on some tan saddle Gobis. How does the 809 last compare to the 511? I've got the Long Branch in a 12 D that's a touch bigger/wider than I'd like, but OK with wool socks. The 809 looks like it may be wider. I'm thinking 11.5 D for the Gobi, but if it's significantly larger, I may drop down to 11D and see how that goes.

Not really near an AE store to try it on, and am hoping to avoid the restocking fee if I have to return.

FYI, I'm sort of in between an 11.5 D and a 12 D on the 65 last, and have gone with a 12 for all of mine (Strand, McTavish, Black Hills, Park Avenue) and the only one I probably should have gone with an 11.5 on was the McTavish.

Starting out the week with the, I think, discontinued burgundy/black Sheltons:
