No doubt there are folks who can pull it off. Just not me! Especially with my size 10.5 3E double-wides. Wearing a slim suit with slim lapels and then a chunky shoe with feet like mine would just make me look like a water fowl...

Shell Hinsdale with a gray suit. Too casual? I like the look, but am pretty ignorant of classic style.

Traditionally, most (not all) would say penny loafers with a suit would be a bit too casual, though shell loafers with a sport coat and tie is very much a traditional look.

There's was an interesting Friday Challenge this week where one had to wear a full suit with loafers. You might check that out. There are some good examples of dressing down certain suits with loafers.

Your Hinsdales look great. Nice snag!

I have a Chambray suit I've worn with Burgundy Patriots (sockless). However, it's a fairly casual, summer suit and I work in tech where the dress code include jeans, t-shirts, and even shorts.

I have a wedding to attend in June. I'm wearing a grey suit but it's not charcoal or light grey, I'd say it's in between. Would walnut strands be too light? Granted it's now darker because I did polish them so it's not walnut out of the box

Not this thread. Each week there is a dedicated Friday Challenge thread. Fun to read.

My apologies for the atrocious cell phone pics...as you can see, this is before any conditioner, polish or product has been applied to the shoes.

I might try to get more pics outside in natural light soon.

Thanks!

BTW, does anyone own the Kirkwood (or the Maritime)?  I'm considering a pair (maybe seconds) but I'd like to hear about the quality from those who have them.  I know the AE line is not quite the same as the mainstream stuff.

I've ordered the Kirkwood in golden brown, but haven't received it yet.  I do, however, have a couple of other AE line shoes and they are perfect.  I haven't noticed any reduction in quality in the DR shoes.

Do the Bleeckers only come in Bob's chili? The 2nd site only lists them as chili.
