That bunny looks suspicious too, Haha.

Does anyone own the Black Hills? How does the walnut look in real life? How is the sizing?

Thanks

I just went buy one of the local Burlingtons in the DC area (Arundel Mills). And they seemed to have once again restocked on a bunch of AE's. From what I gathered no seconds marking on the soles, and all sub 150. This time I took some pics for all.

How true is that, though? I honestly don't know but I'd imagine, particularly for business attire, there'd be some classic women's designs that would never go out of style, no? (Perhaps hers weren't, of course.) Funny, too, how they all noticed her shoes. Had you noticed them? I rarely come out of a meeting able to tell you what kind of shoes a guy was wearing.

Nice work @Brill! If I wasn't 700 miles away, I'd feel like you were my personal shopper!

Some interesting and some unfamiliar shoes in that group. And some outright steals at under $150! The burgundy wing tip about 10 photos in looks like it could be shell, which is quite unlikely. But not impossible!

Here are my Black Hills. They are a bit darker than my walnut McAllisters. I went with a 9D vs a 9.5D in 95% of my other AE's. Actually, they feel like a 9.25 would have been perfect so I could have gone 9D or 9.5D - but the 9D was on closeout.

Thanks Chris. I see lots of orange color coming through. Is that the case or its just the flash on the camera? Is the finish smooth?

This is yet another instance where I feel that AE's stock photos did little justice to the shoe.

These are super comfy workhorses for sure. The "tread" is much less aggressive and doesn't have nearly the contrast of the stock photos. I added some lighter flat laces to casual things up a little more and hit them with some leather lotion/conditioner. Other than that, I envision these getting very little in the care department...

@cc808314 - mine don't seem quite as orange.

They get a good amount of wear, especially when its wet out. I went with the same size as the majority of my other AEs.

Those are the ill-fated Morgan Wingtips.

Ohhhh. Those have a paint-on finish, don't they? Corrected grain leather? Hmmmm.

Looks nice, especially with those laces. Thanks

By chance did you see anything in size 12 or 13? If so, I may need to make a trip to MD.

The two tan tassel loafers where in 12 and 13 respectively. There where a one or two more lace ups in 12 and I think 14.
