Jesus would have been an Allen Edmonds fan... Although god himself could never get the 5 last to fit right. smile.gif

I think that Jesus would definitely approve of a Vibram sole to walk across water.

That left toe cap would drive me crazy, second or not.

It's probably just the photo, because looking at it in real life I cannot tell it's a little bit off... Anyone got a protractor? :smarmy:

I'm thinking of getting another pair and am thinking daltons in walnut but I already have the Dalton and a shoe in walnut. I'm wondering if this is the best solution if I want to expand on versatility. I'm not much into penny loafers or tassels. Thoughts? Thanks!

Considering what you have, I would consider a short wing bal (the Mcallister is on sale for $279, the Jefferson is not at $389.00) or a long wing blucher (the Mcgregor is not at $385.00). I think the burnished/Bob's/dark chili is the most versatile.

As others have mentioned, the MTO would be a great short wing for only $199.00! I actually like the shape/size of the Heritage wing better than the other options from AE.

Just finished the weekend polish and conditioning.

Back to front, left to right:

Cole Haan Loafers (Burgundy)

AE Norwich (Brown)

Cole Haan Loafers (Black)

AE Park Ave (Black)

AE Fifth Ave (Bourbon)

AE McAllister (Black)

AE Strand (Oxblood)

Bought my first Allen Edmonds today: merlot McAllister and merlot Manistee. Can't wait to get them!

Also grabbed conditioner, polish, brush, cloth, heel and sole edge dressing (don't know if that's needed, but it's cheap), shoetree, and shoe horn. Did I forget anything? biggrin.gif

Agree about needing a wingtip, but I'd say in Brown. McAllister if more formal clothing is worn, MacNeil if not.

A local store has a pair of AE Strawfut size 7E for $139+tax. It's on the #5 last like Park Aves, and 1st quality, new without box. Can proxy if anyone wants.

Doesn't the Dalton count as a wingtip?

Yes, but it's also a boot.

Full weekend at work :brick:

I got my Daltons today to keep me company. I don't think these are going to be put away until July.
