Sorry if I wasn't clear, I'm looking for something affordable to pair merlot McAllister with. Not particularly interested in oxblood unless its a great match

Ok.... what are you doing on your navy dundees? They look great! My daltons have stayed much darker and I'm quite jealous hahah.

I try to wipe them down with a damp cloth, brush them, and buff them after each wear.

I hit them with Bick 4 every once in a while, which helps, especially in a few dry areas.

Also, @CMT1 helped out with post-processing the photos, which brings out the blue more strongly. They're somewhat more "navy" in real life, except in diffuse natural light or direct sunlight.

+15 Photoshop Shadow/Highlight filter which helps bring the appearance of bounce flash "fill." smile.gif

Again, awesome collection JSO1.

Hey guys - just jumped on the bandwagon and purchased my second pair of AE. I picked up the McAllisters. I'm a little worried they might be too long for me. Is this level of creasing normal? Shoes are size 10.5E

I've been fitted twice now and both times the SA said my foot is either 10.5/11. Feels a weird having this much space. The other shoe I have is the Mora 2.0 size 10E. They feel great but can get a little snug towards the end of the day...

Sorry for the rant. Thanks for helping in advance!

This is a makeup for the university bookstore. Proceeds go to a scholarship fund. These are seconds though. Any guesses why? wink.gif It doesn't bother me since I got a good deal. I thought it was burnish that could be removed so I hit with some Reno. No effect. Other dark spots on the shoe came off easily. I'll probably treat this with a little brown cream/wax on the toe/vamp over time to minimize the contrast.

Based on the creases, they do seem a little roomy in the toe box. The creasing doesn't seem to line up with where you toes would bend. If you have room in the toes, have you tried to size down but up in width to a 10 EEE? This might help the creasing and the snugness. I know this helped me when I was in between a couple of sizes on the 5 last.

Sorry for crappy pic

I'm size 10E on the 65 and 333 lasts. Should I get the same size on the 108 last?

Awesome color...makes me want to get a University in it, but I'm on a shoe hiatus while I wait for some pre-orders to come in.

I'm a 9D in 65, and I find 108 to have less toebox room than the 65.

Picked these up at the outlet tonight for a song. Perfect fit, snuff suede Gobi.

Thanks. Looking at mrfixit's pics of his tea sip Carlyles, they look similar to the 65 last up front, but perhaps narrower in the heel, which might be OK for me. Might take a flyer on those linens.

In theory this would make sense; however, I wear my Rush Streets in the office only and don't really wear them any more than my two pair of dress AE's with the tap sole. Again, I'm not saying that the Danite soles wear down too quickly, they just don't seem quite as durable as the tap soles.
